| I love both. If Sega still made consoles, they would still be in second (out of the two choices), but would still get alot of my playtime. Sega did take a rather huge hit with me when their "really huge" announcement at last year's E3 ended up being... Matrix Online. ![]() Meh... |

Why, as a matter of fact I HAVE! ![]() It's still not perfect, but it's still a fun diversion for me. Zeal Battle 2.0 I've added a bit of polish to it. Have fun with it. Apply to an unheadered American ROM. Be at a fairly high level with Crono in the party, and walk into Gato's Exhibit. http://www.geocities.com/chickenlump/ZealBattle2.zip ![]() This version should be a little more balanced, but still challenging. Originally posted by Hadriel: "I'd probably have an easier time destroying the Death Star with my bare hands. At least on the Death Star I know where to aim." ![]() This was also a good chance to try out a scrolling background, something I wish there were more of in CT. -edit- Also, welcome to the board Master Blind Samurai. ![]() (edited by Chickenlump on 05-09-05 12:42 PM) |

| I just tried it out again. If you apply the patch to a headered ROM, you get a pink screen when you enter Leene Square. Make sure you use Temporal Flux or Geiger's Snes9x Debugger to remove the header, exit, and then patch the ROM. It should work. If not, PM me and I'll send you a working version. ![]() -edit- heh heh.. Schala's AI has something wrong with it, it seems to be borking up the match. I have beaten it without the battle borking, but it seems to be random. It's cool to look at, anyway. ![]() (edited by Chickenlump on 05-09-05 01:41 PM) |

Originally posted by Master Blind Samurai Yeah, I've got a few things to learn yet. On the bright side, I found out why Magus just sort of stood there untargetable... He has a byte set for his death animation or death effect. His states that his sprite remains on screen when defeated (if you wish to use the sprite again if he survives battle, for more event happenings). And you could have found out by playing it Bush Hater... ![]() |

| I do not own an iPod or a cell phone. The idea of devices that can do everything makes me kind of ill. It jacks up the price of the gadget, tries to do too many things, and probably does few of them well. Thankfully I never call anyone, and nobody calls me, and there's no need for a cell phone (if I want to talk to someone, I'll go to where they are and speak to them). Meh.... I can imagine me having one, and trying to dial 911 in an emergency and accidentally starting an MP3 or a game of pong. ![]() |

I despise the wind in all 4 seasons. Wind sucks, and the world would be a better place without it. Water is great and my favorite. I love it when it rains. I feel better and I always sleep better when it's raining outside. We are also like 90% water ourselves, so I'm elementally biased. ![]() |

| I've read in a few places that the new xbox will only be compatible with the top selling games from the original xbox, and if they aren't best sellers, they aren't going to work. This is one of the sources I've come across (I won't bother posting links to message board threads full of speculation on it, but that's how I came across this). That would suck for current Xbox owners, only being able to play the best selling games on their new system, when it's competitors are fully backward compatible. I hope this is a poorly written and misworded article and untrue. I never plan on getting one, but... that's just... ![]() http://www.forbes.com/personaltech/2005/05/16/cx_ah_0516xbox.html (edited by Chickenlump on 05-16-05 03:29 PM) |

| That part of the article got me all *bleh* as well. Everyone that has already played the game isn't going to want to switch to the new xbox to play (and pay) for it. Square has turned whore. ---------EDIT------------- http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/614/614498p1.html direct from IGN article ___________________ Xbox 360 officially will be backward compatible with the prior system's top-selling games, said Microsoft's Vice President Peter Moore. Microsoft will pick and choose only the most popular Xbox titles from its huge backlist of games and will most likely use emulator software for those limited titles. ___________________ (edited by Chickenlump on 05-16-05 03:37 PM) (edited by Chickenlump on 05-16-05 05:11 PM) |

My, your panties seem to be in a wad tonight, don't they? ![]() You'll live. I saw a link or two about limited xbox backwards compatiblitly and posted about it, and it seems to have rubbed you the wrong way. Get used to it, the internet isn't full of smart wonderful people like yourself. Find a hobby to let out all that teenage angst you have going on. My post was xbox360 related (informed or not), yours was not. Keep things civil, eh? *thumbs up* On the bright side, the xbox360 looks lightyears better than the new Playstation 3. *shudder* http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/05/16/screenindex_6124681.html |

Originally posted by peter_ac There is all kinds of reasons for someone not to release source code for their projects, even when they are done with it. Not all, if any of these reasons may be Fu's reasons for not releasing it though, and I am missing a boatload, I'm sure. I'll use myself as an example. 1. I may not want other people to see how badly I've written my programs, and other people copying it will just make them copy bad coding habits. 2. I may not want other people to see secret easter eggs or hidden options that may or may not have been discovered in the program. What a surprise ruiner that may be. 3. I may not want 200 unofficial versions of my program floating about. That's 200 versions I cannot support, I don't want help emails flooding me about, 200 versions of my program getting distributed and mixed up with my own and new people may not get the correct working official version first. 4. I may not want to release so large a program just to have people copy the code and create their own programs. This encourages plagerism and makes for lazy programmers. 5. With litterally hundreds of other would-be addition makers out there looking and modifying my source code, I *FEAR* the number of emails asking how my program's innards work and asking for help getting their modifications to work with what is already there. If I'm done with my program, I don't want to spend any more time on it, including fixing and tutoring people on how to fix/add/subtract/change what is there. Those are just the ones off the top of my head. Now just imagine the hundred other reasons that may come about from a real programmer. |
