The font has been lightened, and the new name is Chrono Tweeker, and Weasel is now in the about dialog ( )New version should be up tonight with a few fixes and a monster AI Pointer Editor (kind of misleading, it does edit the pointers, but ...not really... It's good for swapping enemy AI around I suppose...it's one of those things I jumped into without thinking...happens alot )![]() |

Updated with enemy AI pointer editing, and something I threw in at the last minute, a misc menu with it's first window..the Gato window. This window will let you replace Gato in Millenial Fair with any other monster in the game, to make it easier to test custom monsters, or monster changes you may have made (so you don't have to travel in-game to get to your edited enemy).![]() right click save as... http://www.angelfire.com/in3/chickenlump/ChronoTweaker.zip (edited by Chickenlump on 05-28-04 09:29 PM) |

| All your ideas are good ones and valid, I had thought of combining them, but something in the back of my mind told me to keep them seperate..... I try not to listen to that part of my mind..but...IT'S 90% of my mind!!!! *cries* Combining should be easy enough. Adding support for things Gears and Crone already do? I'll need more opinions from people on that. It would be simple enough to add in, but it never crossed my mind (Gears and Crone are one of the reasons I started this little project, out of respect for them). Perhaps I worry too much... Hmmmm... --------------edit---------------- While pondering I added this. ![]() ![]() (edited by Chickenlump on 05-28-04 10:34 PM) (edited by Chickenlump on 05-28-04 10:37 PM) |

| *blush blush* Ok, youve talked me into it, I'll see what I can do! (got the accessory forms combined already) Perhaps tommorow I'll have the enemy editor done, with Stats, AI pointers, and such all in one form... --edit-- Things will be a little easier than I thought... ![]() (edited by Chickenlump on 05-28-04 11:29 PM) |

The DOS Snessor even had wav to brr conversion, rom insertion (I think it did ).Not that I ever got that working...I wish it had made the jump along with the windows port. ![]() |

| New version available. Changes in this version: Added Monster Stat editing, and Monster Reward editing, to the enemy form, in a tabbed interface. Found out that the 27th byte in the enemy stats is a Hit Effect byte, causing a range of status abnormalities or effects when the monsters hit you (from stop, confuse, to Nu's ability to hit you and bring you down to 1 hit point) I don't have a list for all of them (and some values cause the game to glitch), but I'll just edit this post as I find some. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 0 - Nothing 1 - Nothing 2 - Random Stop 3 - Random Poison 4 - Randomly inflicts Slow 5 - Hp slowly decreases (besides the hit damage) (?) 6 - Randomly inflicts Lock 7 - Randomly inflicts Confuse 8 - Randomly inflicts Sleep 9 - Randomly inflicts Blind 10 - Absorbs your HP 11 - Nothing 12 - Nothing 13 - Takes all your HP 14 - Absorbs your MP 15 - Absorbs a larger amount of your HP 16 - Brings you down to 1 HP 17 - Monster loses All HP and You gain that amount 18 - Takes Half of your HP 19 - Deals more damage than usual 20 - Deals a little more damage than usual 21 - Absorbs a little of your HP 22 - Deals more damage than usual All values after 22 are repeats or glitches. ![]() ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cleaned up the interface a little, and some other minor tweaks. Next I'll add combo boxes for the charmed and dropped items, so you can select an item from a drop down list. ![]() right click save as http://www.angelfire.com/in3/chickenlump/ChronoTweaker.zip ------------------------------- Hmm....The 6th unknown byte affects something...I can get some values to let the monster regain some MP every now and then....If I can't get other effects, I'll turn it into a "Can Monster regenerate MP? Yes No" question... | Updated again. List of changes: Changed the Dropped and Charmed item boxes in the Enemy Rewards tab to dropdown comboboxes Changed the Hit Effect box in the Enemy Stat tab to a dropdown combobox Added Treasure Chest editing, by request, and thanks to info from Jigglysaint. ----edit---- fixed name ![]() -end edit- 0 in the 4th byte lets you choose an item for the chest, and other values along with the 4th byte determine what else goes in there (like money, or "Empty"). http://www.angelfire.com/in3/chickenlump/ChronoTweaker.zip ![]() ![]() (edited by Chickenlump on 05-30-04 11:50 PM) (edited by Chickenlump on 05-31-04 01:53 PM) |

| I'd need to make a list, but yeah, I could do that eventually. *secretly hopes someone will come forward with a list already made* If the 4th byte is 0, then the combobox becomes available, and you can put in an item. The rest is really unknown, just check the other values, it somehow uses byte 3 and 4 to calculate gold totals. For starters, Chest Number 2 is the Mayor's Manor at the begining of the game. Also, a value of 120 in the 4th byte, and a value of 2 in the 3rd will give you an "Empty!" message. If anyone knows more about this, let me know and clear up some confusions. ![]() |

| Chrono Trigger did away with the annoying Random Battles. Don't feel like battling? Chances are you can avoid conflict. Chrono Trigger had amazing visuals at times (FFVI was solid, just not as breathtaking) Chrono Trigger had great music, on par to FFVI, at times better, at times worse, overall I have more CT fave tracks than I do FFVI. Chrono Trigger was original, first of it's kind, first of it's series, a breath of fresh air. FFVI was the .....6th of it's kind, full of the same (only tweaked) systems, ideas, and fallbacks. Not to say some of CT wasn't cliche as well for an RPG, just not as much as FFVI. |

| Being a Chrono Trigger Freak, I am going against the grain and voting for Illusion of Gaia. It was one of the best for it's time, action, rpg, puzzles, mesmerizing music, and solid graphics and story. *chickenlump's eyes tear up, and loads up Illusion of Gaia ASAP* *Sniff* That's better... ![]() |

I hope all of Atma X's graphics arent' used before his hack is finished. ![]() I'd hate to play his hack and say to myself (despite already knowing) "Gosh, I've seen all these graphics before..." .... Looks good otherwise, and I like the idea of having the throw and crash blue blocks look like keys, making it tough to find the right key. Very original. |

| I have a menu item that when clicked on, opens the readme text in notepad. Private Sub Readme_Click() shellResult = Shell("notepad.exe readme.txt") End Sub And if you need other types of files to be opened, just specify the path to the program opening that file. For example : WordPad Private Sub Readme_Click() shellResult = Shell("C:\Program Files\Accessories\wordpad.exe readme.doc") End Sub And if you want the opened file to be maximized and brought to the front, do this. Private Sub Readme_Click() shellResult = Shell("notepad.exe readme.txt", vbMaximizedFocus) End Sub The readme.text or readme.doc must be in the same folder as your program for that to work (unless you specify a path to your readme, like I did with the program, works just the same. )(edited by Chickenlump on 05-31-04 10:00 PM) (edited by Chickenlump on 05-31-04 10:02 PM) (edited by Chickenlump on 05-31-04 10:09 PM) |
