Having finally read the full thread regarding VB.NET tutorials, I think I'll basically agree with the annoyment thing. I remember a -lot- of goddamn Holy Wars in that forum. Bad karma they are.

I'm not just annoyed at the Programming Forum... it pisses me off.

Disch and all you other C Zealots should just shut the hell up and answer VB questions, no matter if it's 6 or .NET, with actual VB answers, or don't reply at all.

Ken Silverman, creator of the BUILD engine and other such neatness, uses QuickBasic 4.5 to develop his algorithms to this very day. Can't say using Basic has crippled him. Hasn't crippled me either.

*Kawa-oneechan edits his mod application post to include "Programming".

I understand most of the lingo but use that of other minorities (Hackers, B3tans and 4channers to be precise), if only because most of those are weirder than words like "yiff" could ever hope to be.

I couldn't care less what the "regular" Furry does in his/her/it's free time.

Oh that's easy. Sapphire's font data is not or incompletely listed in the PokeRoms.ini file. I think it was the VWF table.

I am also too damn lazy to find the offset(s). Baro or Interdepth can help you, they'll read this post sooner or later.

Actually, there's been some progress since the PassMe.

PassMe: extra hand-built device stuck in the DS cart slot carrying a Metroid cart on it's own back that fools the DS into running from the GBA slot... in DS mode.

WifiMe: PC-based program that (ab)uses Download Play to load a small program that fools the the DS into running from the GBA slot.

FlashMe: also known as Project Chiyodajo, a full-blown firmware hack. Once installed, a startup keycombo fools the DS, and the Download Play system's security is broken. Needs a PassMe or WifiMe to install. Subsequent installations require neither. In fact, once installed, the other systems' hardware can be sold. They recently removed the Health and Safety screen, among other cosmetic tweaks.

I like to think there's a distinct difference between laughing at another Mortal Wombat fatality being executed, and laughing at a guy who, for no clear reason at all, goes around killing people and fucking them in their dead asses, then proceeding to blow his brains out.

At least the Mortal Wombat characters have -some- sort of defined reason.
