Great, another one that can't grasp Compare/If. The right syntax for flags is, IIRC:

checkflag 0x1DD
if 1 0x7FF9A0

I might be wrong. LoadingNow should look at this too.

Like RSBall says, they are NOT compressed. Open Tile Layer/Molester. They're right there. Somewhere in the second half IIRC.

As for starters, search for their HEX species numbers with a hex editor, in the order they appear.

If the map has proper bank/level numbers, you can. If it's just a loose map not referenced in the banks, you can't.

First, don't dump to GBA files in PokePic, it causes artifacts to appear in the image.

Second, if both PokePic AND RS-Ball don't work, it must be a too-big image. Reduce the detail to compress tighter.

File types
PokePic can export to GBA format binary files OR PNG/GIF/BMP images. The buttons are right there.

Artifacts
When loading a GBA binary file to import, the file has certain pixels (always the same) changed. This may cause it to compress into a slightly bigger structure.

Detail level
Lossless compression like the GBA's LZ77 work better when there's not too much detail. For example, if you snip Ratatta's whiskers or make Pikachu's cheeks yellow, they'll compress tighter, taking less space.

Laws of physics state I can't work on a fighting game engine (homebake), make 100+ sprites for each character therein AND work on EliteMap/Obsidian so I'm kinda stumped.

I hereby ask anyone who can do reasonable fighting game sprites to do to.

Use Tsugumo's tutorials, use bases from other games, use anything, as long as it looks good enough to be in a Streetfighter game (kinda).

Please specify which character you'd like to handle and I'll send all relevant info.
