I have that same feeling, really. Assuming they didn't alter the engine too much, you'd be right to assume so.

And yes, it's only the graphics. Same goes for Street Fighter Alpha 2.

A good game maker could do that, Fire.

But most of the time nowadays, the professionals just buy a license for some tried-and-tested engine and heavily hack out their games from that. If I even try to count the games made with, say, the Quake engines (and I do mean games, not mods), I run out of fingers.

There's a saying about that: don't reinvent the wheel.


To which I dare to add: don't use the square block that is Gamemaker.
