Well... in the Dark World the crystal girls will say their speeches normally even when you sequence break. So even if you already know Ganondorf = Ganon they'll still tell you, for example. Kind of dumb but hey I wouldn't expect them to go to additional trouble.

Disch: lol. Yeah this is sort of a joke topic in that I realize "ideal" randomness just isn't a possibility, particularly with computers. However, the other method is to "try" every number starting with 0,1,2,3,4,... until you find actual working programs. The sheer inefficiency of the process would have you working until the end of the universe.

Kratos: I still can't tell if you were attempting to make a joke or were just being nonchalant and factual.

Zem: Melodrama is a leading cause of suicide. :-(

My dog committed suicide. Don't talk about it. It's not funny. :-(

Well the other day right when I woke up I sat up and this girl whom I knew but can't remember who it was was pointing a gun at me. She fired a shot into my head, then my neck, my chest, and stomach. And as I collapsed dying I thought "this really sucks." It was a dream, supposedly.

I mainly go to the snes forums, and when a new game I potentially like comes out I go there too. I don't like their rules, they kind of constraining. It's no wonder people account suicide on a regular basis there.

Jeez I didn't even think I was being subtle. The point was that my opinion of death is that it would suck. If I was dying, I think that's what would be going through my mind. And in response to Dark Vampriel's question, yes. But thinking like that makes it harder to get to sleep. :p

"I am the board loser."

Would make a nice custom title, once you get one.

Nah, you're probably just unobservant like me. When I went to high school I graduated in a class of like 180 people, pretty much all of whom I went to school with all 4 years. When I graduated I probably could have named maybe half of them.

Zem: yeah when I was buliding my new comp I bought a power supply for like 40 bucks or something, but it wasn't working for whatever reason so I flipped a switch and low and behold it smoked like a mother. I somehow managed to air it out enough so that I could return it without them thinking I did anything to it.

As I recall you need all the crystals in the SNES version. But mine is a player's choice edition, and those types of editions are known for major bug fixes.

I suppose I'd already have it if my BLODDY GAMECUBE HADN'T BEEN STOLEN. But yeah the demo kicked ass. The graphical style of many things feels more like traditional Metroid, and for that I am thankful. I thought Retro wasn't "retro" enough on their first release. This looks polished.

No Kitten Yiffer, look closer. It's an album by a band called Sober, which I've never heard of.

If you program a Java GUI properly it isn't that slow. One thing I haven't been able to figure out with Java is how to allocate more memory. The environment I used only allowed like 10MB of memory for program variables. Then again, for an editor you shouldn't need that much. What I was making was a tracer/disassembler with memory states being saved and swapped = lots of stuff. Dan: I think Swing is on the way out. I'll look into that.

That being said, I really prefer that an editor be released on whatever platform I'm using. I'm not going to go out and buy a Mac just to use an editor. Luckily I have access to Macs in many campus computer labs. As well as Unix machines.

You have to take into consideration what you will be typing. If it's something I've hammered out like eight hundred million times before then it's usually a cinch to type it fast. But if it's an article about cyctic nanofribrosis in the ... blah blah you know, then fat chance. WPM only really matters in the context in transcription from text to computer, or in taking dictation. When I worked for a survey company they had a minimum of 25 wpm which is fucking pathetic.

I can't remember ever buying anything that said "Made in Canada". Maybe a case of Labatt's or something.
