Hmm. When I was in Seattle over the summer the sky was too hazy to see Mt Ranier on most days. I think I saw it maybe a couple times at the UW fountain. That campus is the shit by the way.

I *really* hope we don't have another major eruption...

Ha, is it because you're worried your parents are going to have another kid if it does?

Hmm so I am curious. In DKC were the palettes for each DMAed tile also DMAed? As in, where palettes swapped every frame to make it seem like more colors were being used?

Yes they can be done. It's only a matter of time and figuring out how they work. I haven't run into any centralized event handling functions just yet, so my impression is that it would require some careful ASM to change these things around. But yeah beyond any doubt I know it would be feasible. However, I'm also sure it would create that many more bugs to deal with in the development process.

Well have you ever considering dissecting the rom to it's fullest? Make a large pile of notes related to the insides of the rom itself? Since you seem to be dedicated to everything you do.. even if it takes minutes.

Minutes? HAAAhaAAhaAAhaaA

So how many log files do you have? I always use trace all and i'd probably have upwards of 4gb by now if I didn't delete all the logs I have.

Well, what I originally meant was something to listen to when taking breaks between hacking. When you just want to sit back and smell the roses for a few minutes. Doing intensive work, such as looking at tracelogs or writing assembly would get damn annoying with music in the background.

Just grabbed some Simon and Garfunkel songs since I've never really gotten into them much before.

My current favorite is "Fifty Ways to Leave Your Lover" because of its sad guitar chords and schizophrenic switches into major key. That happens twice in the song, and the switch to major key entails a vast change in overall theme, as a chorus of women are there to encourage him to "Make a new plan Stan, hop on the bus Gus." Really a playful switch and half way through it reverts back to melancholy. Then goes back to encouraging him to just get out of that relationship in an uplifting tone. Definitely one of their best songs.

I've always like things like Cecilia and Scarborough fair, those are highly recommended as well.

If you don't think a liberal would bash another liberal, you need to understand that right, left, conservative, liberal, etc. are all relative terms. There are different for practically everybody. There are certainly some people who would consider the Democratic party to be wildly conservative or at least entrenched as centrists.

I'm sure that many companies would leap at the chance to makes their games more hacker friendly. Afterall, they pay lots of money (read: zero money) for their products so they should at least be able to figure out how they work.

My first guess for standards of that sort is that they were mapped out by the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium)

This is pretty fucking hilarious. And the best part part is that it's constructed oh so beautifully. A masterpiece of composition. It would probably fool a parent though. I'd guess that the majority of adults over 30 out there are uninformed about the majority of the information in the article.

Chibi, welcome to the world. I'm seriously depressed too. Guess what? I'm also schitzotypical. We all think of suicide. EVERYONE will. Fact of the matter is that if you can't stand up and face life, then you are indeed a weakling.

I don't know exactly what you mean by that. Why this categorization of people in to weak and strong. If by weak you mean "doesn't want to live" and strong is "I want to live" then fine. I think people are who have the willpower to kill themselves are very strong, though I don't admire them for it. Mainly for the suffering they bring upon others. My mother's twin brother committed suicide with a shot gun in '92 and I'm positive she's not yet over it.

I've been depressed before for short periods, maybe a month at most. I can imagine that going on like that nonstop would get to be fairly unbearable.

It's not the game designers' fault. They watched too much Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey.
