Somepeople think that you have to be stylish to be successful. Of course this is obviously untrue as my hair hasn't been combed in like a year or so (I just don't care) and I am doing great in school and in life basically. Oh and most people that write this stuff also watch "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy"...

Well I'd say a job in the real world is a larger guage of success than how you are in school. I've met plenty of people who are smart as a whip but end up working at restaurants for a living. As far as other aspects of life, it really depends on who you hang out with, whether they will accept your uncombedness.

Hey what's up. Nice to see a fell gamefaqser make it over here. I can forgive the invented language thing, with time. (I made one when I was in sixth grade, but it was extremely, incredibly stupid.)

That sound you hear is the sound of this going over your head. Or the sound of how nieve you are, whichever you prefer.

Perhaps you're right. But a description that best fits the data would be that it sucks.

A price cut would be a nice addition, and I was thinking about getting a PS2 recently. The normal PS2 is kind of bulky, at least it seems to me. Or I could just wait like 2 more years and buy one for 10 bucks at a gamestop.

Also a good way to totally fuck yourself over.

Remember that losing sleep each night is cumulative. If you miss two hours two nights in a row (That's 5 hours of sleep each night, and that's assuming you only need 7 hours of sleep, most people need 8 to be fully functional), you're now missing FOUR hours of sleep, and you're gonna have to sleep that much to make it up plus your usual for the day. Even if you seem fully functional, by the end of the day, if you're missing sleep from last night, you won't be, even if it's on a subconcious level.

I wasn't saying it was good for you. I was saying that in a pinch it can take the edge off by napping for a little bit somewhere that you're likely to wake up in a short time (because it's uncomfortable of course)

I generally need 9-9.5 hours of sleep to feel "good", I guess the best way is to put it. Even on 7-8 hours I yawn all the time and get sleepy throughout the day. At one point for about a week and a half I was on the weirdest sleep schedule ever:

I slept 7 hours at a time, and would be awake for 12 hours. (This was during finals week my freshman year.) Whenever I got sleepy I would just brush my teeth and go to bed. 7 hours later I'd wake up feeling refreshed. Seriously, this was the best system I've ever had. I felt so awesome. I could work for the full 12 hours and not feel one bit sleepy. The only problem is that 12 + 7 = 19. That means I was waking up 5 hours earlier each time. It was really cool, come to think of it, but impractical for the schedule most people are tied down to.

So I did the math (as always) and determined that the ideal sleep/awake ratio for a normal day. i.e:

a + s = 24
a / s = 12/7

Solving for s we get (12/7)*s + (7/7)*s = (19/7)*s = 24

=> s = 8.8421052631578947368421052631579 hours of sleep.

Which is close to 9 hours of sleep. Who said math isn't useful?

In any case, I'd also like to comment how odd it is that some military types seem to be able to get by on less sleep. I have a friend who's an officer in the Air Force, and he gets maybe 4 hours of sleep a night, yet always seem fully functional. Maybe they get super drugs in their food.

Part of me believes the electric blue jolt could actually taste good. On the other hand, based on its trashy packaging and ultra carney looking color it's probably liquid ass. (And not the good kind of ass :p)

I understand that you're learning and that questions come up from time to time, but please devote more time to thinking your problems through and researching them before asking people for help here. That's my take on it anyways. It looks bad when you don't appear to have the initiative to solve your own problems most of the time. Not that you shouldn't ask questions here, just please use more discretion.

Well um, I couldn't figure out how it worked initially because I was looking at the wrong file. His build used to produce a file called output.txt. Hell it still might but I haven't looked recently. In fact all that was was a log of when tracing started and stopped and a few other things unimportant to someone who's tracing a rom. I PMed him and he told me to look in the folder where the rom was. I felt pretty stupid then. Though, something like output.txt is terribly misleading on a tracer program, you have to admit.

yeah, thats the point, and most important, you dont have to manually calculate adresses for jumps etc.

and i would like to see you rearranging and repointing large data arrays in hex.

even simple NOPs or BRAs to test routines work better when done with wla dx cause you can keep better track of all your changes in a textfile and if you corrupt something, you just can comment out the stuff that broke something and recompile, no need to get a clean rom or work with ips patches.

Well I'll give it a try but I'm skeptical. I can test the effects of a modification in seconds flat using savestates (almost always, if something was in memory or VRAM and not being loaded after the save state occurs I suppose that would be a conundrum, but not one that the wla dx would easily solve either.) and keeping a read only rom on hand. I usually only modify one or two bytes at a time when testing, however, this would be useful for longer stuff, like when I'm testing out how to change Link's speed under certain conditions and such. I'll use it for my actual hacking, not testing, probably.
