I'm getting to know the feeling. All my usernames and passwords are almost the same, but with slight variants. Guessing those variants is still a pain in the ass. I don't know what I'd do if they weren't similar.

Nice to have you here. Raistlin was probably my favorite character from the Dragonlance novels (which I now detest, but people can like what they want). Maybe I should change my nick to Penis the half Elven.

I wonder if there were any imitation "crystal" sodas from that time period.

Interestingly enough, if you search Pepsi's website for "crystal", nothing pertaining to crystal pepsi comes up.

It's not even mentioned in the "legacy of pepsi" portion of the site, which gives a summary of the pepsi events for every year from the past two decades.

Well, at least the graphics look richer than I remember the original FF being. Did you expand this to have mapper 3 or something?

When y'all say you found the "data" on a particular item, it's not always clear what exactly you're referring to. It might be graphical data or object data.

The ease with which the rom could be "separated" depends on how it was put together as a binary. If the different regions of code for SMB1, 2, 3 are interlaced throughout the rom, then there would be little hope of completing it quickly. On the other hand, if each ran in one or more separate banks, the task becomes much easier.

For some reason Marlboro lights give me accute cancer of the throat. The past two weeks I was staying with my girlfriend in Seattle and I don't really smoke but I do bum occasionally, so I pretty much haven't had a cigarette in three weeks since all she smokes is Marlboro lights.

Though this year at my summer job I smoked 3-5 cigs a day. I didn't exactly bum, I paid for them. But the moment I buy a pack for myself I think I would be addicted. Thus I always make sure I'm getting cigarettes from someone else's pack. On the other hand, I don't have urges to smoke right now.

On the whole I wouldn't recommend smoking. Simply because it's a dirty habit with long term health risks, and it makes you more sluggish and harms your lungs. The one thing I really like about smoking a cigarette is the feeling of smoking it - and the smell it leaves on my finger.

Having taken 6 years of french you start to pick up on "non standard" things that francophones do when typing. For instance, Rox 4 Ever uses "chu" for "je suis" apparently. I tried saying "chu" like "shyoo" as it is probably intended and it sounds nothing like "je suis". Oh well, maybe a local accent in Quebec. When you get stuff like "g t tr

My mom smokes and I can't say I "love" the smell. Largely because my senses have been so assulted by it that I can't smell a smoky room anymore. Try some natural pipe tobacco with or without added scents and I think you'll agree that it smells pretty good though.

Damn. Now if only something like this existed for Snes hacking. At least I don't think anything of this magnitude exists.

I would presume that it would be an ordered set of the code that was executed while the player was playing. On the other hand, something of that sort couldn't possibly be complete unless you did everything that was possible in the game in one sitting.

Even then you might not find certain hidden routines and data. I know of at least a couple routines in Zelda 3 that are never used but would be cool if they were used. The one i have in mind is the routine that checks the second player port for input. The data i have in mind are the unused enemies in Super Metroid.

I have been working on something like this for snes hacking, though I have been delayed over the summer since I've been away from my school computer.

bbitmaster: I don't know if differentiating between code and data is sufficient. You should also add the category of a jump pointer, though I don't know if such stuff exists for NES asm. For instance, JMP ($000E) is an indirect jump to the address stored at $000E. If such an opcode were executed, it should record the value in $000E (in the snes case, the current program bank as well), and add it to a list of jump pointers.

The hex annotator, as I have come to call it, will not run in real time. It will more of a markup tool for figuring out what is what in a rom file. But good luck on your future releases.

Yeah. That's usually my biggest problem. I switched to Delphi and thought it would fix a lot of problems, but I've been having to learn quite a bit about the Delphi class structure to compensate.

Whoa, whoa, whoa...where is this, exactly? Have you examined it at all? Most 1-player games that look for second controller input have (or did have) debugging features of some kind...

If you want to see for yourself it's routine $3F9 = $00:83F9. $3F9 is merely the rom address after the header has been removed. I prefer to use those over bank addresses.

The routine that checks the first player port is $3D1. I thought that the second player might be used for debugging as well (as in Super Metroid.) However, the routine is local in bank $00. I found no two byte pointer, jump, or subroutine call for this address in all of bank $00. So at this time I assume it is unused. If there's some bizarre method of calling it, like

LDA #F9
STA $00

LDA #83
STA $01

JSR ($0000)

, then I haven't found it yet.

I think they should eliminate regular coke and just call C2 normal coke. Honestly, regular coke has too many calories and far too much sugar. Our whole generation is going to have massive diabetes because of sugar overloads. C2 tastes wonderful, as I've had them side by side. The difference is that it is made with Sucralose, a derivative of normal Sugar, but is non caloric.

Even though I prefer Pepsi Products, I have to say that Pepsi Edge sucks. It tastes like flat Pepsi. Note that Coke cut their calories in half with C2. Pepsi cut calories by 2/3. 33% of the original sugar content just isn't enough to make it sweet. It may taste like Pepsi but it has no kick.

The only good new product in the past ten years that Pepsi put out was Vanilla Pepsi. (Does not include Mountain Dew brands, Livewire is yummy)
