The only thing that really irked me about it is that the style is directly copied from one of his older flashes (the old movie gimmick, along with the funny sounding narrator.) I believe that was done in his first "One Ring to Rule Them All" flash. I want to see something new now and then.

His best flash is probably "Ganondorf Returns".

I will preface this with the usual "I am not a SMW world hacker but I do hack LTTP and they're kind of similar."

It's likely that the song you wanted was not loaded into SPC memory at the time. I've run into this problem in Zelda 3 trying to change the opening music. Probably when the game goes into its ending mode it transfers in the music then begins playing it. I know Zelda3 has two SPC loading routines because it has two major playlists of music it uses. Hope this helps.

This is just my opinion Atma but I think the best way to learn ASM is to take a Rom (perhaps SMW) and just look at it in hex (i.e. follow the opcodes) or read a trace and try to figure out what's going on. I've been contemplating writing a tutorial on SNES ASM but I don't see it coming any time soon. Unfortunately some of the docs I learned from are vanishing from the internet (I've saved some) and it's very hard to learn it all from just one doc too. If you want to try to learn be my guest and you can PM me any time you want with a question.

This is going out to the Brits and any other non U.S. anglophones.

What I want to know, does American English sound funny to you? From my standpoint, especially growing up watching old tapes of Monty Python and all, British English sounds weird and exotic. It might be because I'm just so used to hearing it, but our variety (not Southern U.S. btw) sounds quite bland to me. What do you think? Do people in the U.K. try out their "American" impressions?

It's made by the same people who made Independence Day as I recall. As I thought of that as a stupid worthless run of the mill film I imagine this will be as well. But I have been called a movie snob before so keep that in mind.

People to send to Seinfeld Brainwashing Facility:
1. Anya
2. Yoshi Dude (questionable views on last episode)

Don't worry it won't hurt a bit.

I think Reign is pretty underrated. Yeah the art style is a bit gay (nuthugging suits lol) but if you can get past that it's a pretty good show. It's also not anime style drawing but it is animated in Japan I believe and I think it's quite superb in its own right. Maybe I like it because I'm a fool for antiquity. Dunno. Most of the story is pretty close to actual history (mixed with a bit of Alexandrian myth) but the plot about sacred geometry is an embellishment to say the least. The platohedron eh?

I voted for Reign and Cowboy Bebop. What's wrong with the English dub of Bebop anyways? It's just about the only anime dub I like, to be honest. Most others have really annoying or one dimensional voice actors.

I think a hex editor is better to learn on. Then when you understand it better a disassembler. The reason is that disassemblers aren't all that intelligent and if you don't set them properly you might get totally inaccurate code.

Note that when I say disassembler I mean one where you pick the upper and lower bounds to disassemble and it attempts to give output only for that range. A tracer to me is different because the user trusts that the dump is being done correctly. (Evil Peer's build of snes9x for example)

Although it's probably not something I'd do unless I was forced into it, i've heard from my old roommate, who is a skydiving nut (he gets a news letter!) that when you jump out of the plane, that the ground below you doesn't seem to be any perceptible distance from you. He said it looked like a painting. And you don't even have to pull your chute for a long time so there's no rush either. In fact, if you pull your chute too early you'll be floating down for a loooong time.

The fact that they give you two chutes is assurance enough for me. And even then if you're going with a group of people who've done it before they'll probably know how to take care of you even if those fail (which is like nil chance)

One thing that I think Snes9x doesn't have is a chat feature in netplay mode. That's a major bonus for Zsnes, along with ZMVs. I still use snes9x out of habit though.

Uhh... I've been having this problem recently as I'm at home and on a different connection from the one at school. I think my router has a built in firewall. Since my computer doesn't have this icon near the clock, what is the control panel/ utility where these options were modified? i.e. to change the settings on those protocols. I'm on Win98 btw.

Posted on 05-29-04 02:02 PM, in Hard Drive settings Link
I bought a "new" hard drive roughly 1.5 years ago. I say "new" because it didn't work from the start. I let it collect dust for about 8 months then sent it in to be repaired. was ecstatic since it meant going from 2gb to 42gb of hard drive space. However when I write to this storage drive, windows lags in proportion to how large the file/data is. For instance if I have WinMX open an I download files at 100+ Kb/s or so there is a very noticeable slowdown. Writing a 100Mb file alone could make it stall for a 30 seconds. Now this doesn't occur with the 2gb drive I have installed as my C drive.

Does anybody know how to look into fixing this? It's a Maxtor drive and I've tried both tech support from my school and the company and neither have been very helpful. I've run the maxtor utilities and they didn't seem to help. I figure it's something in the BIOS I need to fiddle with, but I'm afraid if I do fiddle foolishly I'll lose all my data.

Yeah I was just going to mention that if you do something physical and get paid for it, it may come with the territory to risk personal injury over the long term. Cross country runners risk injuring their knees over time. Boxers risk brain damage and arthritis in their knuckles, American Football players get injured all the damn time. So I think the notion of banning this is malarky.

Your site doesn't really have much at the moment. If I see that "your first rom hack" doc again I'm going to scream, no offense. Until you get a good amount of content, like screens, hosted hacks, and documents that are more general purpose, I don't want to hear about it.

I said Wart even though SMB2 was a cheap makeover of Doki Doki Panic. You gotta hand it to a guy who can sit in a pit all day and belch bubbles and yet somehow manages to keep his cronies in line.

I went to pizza hut the other day. The service was awful. My sister ordered cheese pizza, extra cheese. It was...good but damn why do they have to have so much grease on their pizza? I patted each piece I ate down with a napkin and it was still sopping wet with grease. Maybe I've been hanging around with women too long but I'd rather eat a Domino's thin crust with extra sauce than have to deal with all the nastiness. Papa John's is damn greasy too for the record. If I'm going to eat rich pizza I might as well get Edwardo's. (maybe Kefka knows what I'm talking about since he's lived in Chicago.) The one we had in my town closed a while ago for health violations but they have the best deep dish i've ever tasted.
