meh. When I was in college I preferred to work as little as possible. As my parent's contributions dwindled I was forced to work more to support myself. In response to that I just found jobs that paid more for less work . You make five classes sound trivial. That depends on the classes you're taking. If they're really work intensive classes don't be surprised if you get your ass kicked. Even one or two very involved classes can eat up your time more than you'd think. Just to conserve time, find a job on campus. Campus jobs usually pay more than an equivalent job off campus (McDonalds, bookstores, campus coffee shop, etc.) |

Yoshi and Qwertie are pretty much all there is out there. Everything else you see is a rip off or slight modification, and thus a regurgitation. I don't know for sure at this time but I seem to remember there were some slight conflicts in variable naming between Yoshi's docs and the ones that ripped it off. Qwertie doesn't usually write the "names" of the registers anyway. He writes titles that are generally more descriptive, whereas Yoshi's doc has short abbreviations which I frind hard to remember usually.

eh... I sort of feel like I might have asperger's syndrome in a mild form, but self diagnosis is sketchy. I tend to be antisocial and avoid people I feel unconfortable around (eg. people I barely knew in high school and didn't like in the first place), unless I absolutely have to talk to them. Most of the aspie symptoms affect me in some way, but I just deal with it and overcome them. But then again I used to have this one kid as a student, and his father said he had Asperger's syndrome one day to me. That kid was annoying as hell... asking inane questions about everything. everything. But he doesn't do it like an ADD type, he doesn't seem like he's trying to annoy you. He also never payed attention to what he was supposed to. Nice kid but sure has a hard time relating to people. I don't know if he was correctly diagnosed or not. Maybe further down the autism rainbow (spectrum) than they thought. |

Ignoring them was working for a while. But the number of them seems to be going up lately, and it's no fun reading the forum when there's like 10 of that type of thread in the 20 most recently posted in threads.

Right now using a custom rank... I like the Zelda enemies more, though the Mario Sprites seem to have more colors . I don't think I've ever seen anyone suggest FFIV, V, or VI sprites, like the main character sprites and actors. (edited by MathOnNapkins on 08-30-05 05:57 AM) |

:/ Every time I turn on the TV lately there is a story on each network about the state of affairs in that area. But I have yet to see any information about how individuals can help.... such as where you can send donations, etc. The media as usual seems caught up in the plight and not in the solution. They interviewed some poor man who lost his wife in the flood, literally wrenched from his arms... I sure wouldn't want to be shown on TV in such times. At least they got his wife's name and offered to to put the word out to search for her. |

Cool program... I might have a use for such thing. In fact, I was thinking of something like this a while ago, but didn't have the initiative. UltraMON Hey that could be my new nick! |

I do tend to hoard info, but I give it to people I know will make good use of it... Bit: you are missing the big picture that not everyone wants to make a commercial quality hack. If you want to make an awe inspiring hack that modifies EVERYTHING, then yeah of course working in teams is probably the only sane route to go. |

Danielle: it looks like there is filter code in thread.php for certain words, which has been put into the board's code by someone. It doesn't appear to filter on newreply.php, though, hence why the difference in appearance.

Originally posted by Stinkoman 20X6 Man, fuck her! What a crappy scare tactic. She fucked up, not you. Maybe moving out to a relative's house, such as a grandparent or aunt, etc, would help, if you have those options available. I don't think doing all your own things will help the situation at all. For one thing, it would make your relationship more adversarial, and it would give your mom more time to do drugs.... edit: I mean that doing all your own laundry, dishes, etc., will cause her to lose the only control she had over you, and will probably depress her and cause her to abuse drugs even more. Moving out would be a better wakeup call for her. Just remember, you wouldn't be abandoning her, she already abandoned you by indulging in such behaviors. Zeality, they were in now way targeting hackers like yourself. If you bothered to read threads besides the Temporal Flux one you'll see lots of people just begging for someone to fix their hack or help them with easy shit problems that could be solved by just tinkering around a few minutes or reading an FAQ / Readme. Research problems first, ask questions only when stumped, I say.

I've had a hard time falling asleep as long as I can remember. But lately I find it's just from thinking too much about things I can think about the next day anyways. Stuff like planning for the future, or your goals, or what you have to do the next day, are just a waste of good sleep time. If I really want to sleep I just let go, and say the hell with everything and just try to relax.

I guess he's requesting the lunar compress source code so he can write this game's format into it... of course he could just write his own program....

Or you could buy programs that are closed source, and become vulnerable to all the holes the developers were too lazy to fix... there's a tradeoff. If an opensource community is active, they can usually spot exploits and patch them before too long. |

Hyrule Magic as far as I know has no planned updates unless Seph3 somehow regains interest in the program. I'm in the preliminary stages of designing a supplemental editor, however. Mainly things that deal with copying from one rom to another, and expanding the existing data structures. |

However I just found your Variable Listings doc, which will be very useful (I also just found they already were in SePH's HM perfect guide) |
Yeah I sort of found them there one day too.... What SePH did was collect a bunch of pages from Acmlm's Board and Tek and just tried to compile it into a cohesive document, as far as the later parts of the guide go. That must have been before the old Tek Acmlmboard went down, b/c I only posted about it there. As far as the variable listings go, it's been massively updated since then, with a much more refined grasp of the sprite model and the SRAM has been mapped out much more accurately. Thanks for reminding me. I think I'm ready to add a new version of that document to the site now. |
