This isn't exactly a new trend -- white hats have gone "vigilante" before.

Frankly, I support the white hats here, but I think ultimately they are wasting their time as the phishers will simply set up shop elsewhere.

Yeah, I was discussing this with somebody last night. I tend to believe that she is innocent, but then I've heard a lot about how baggage handlers DO send things through other people's baggage, and it all makes sense.

I agree that the media circus surrounding this is silly, but our media tend to cover all kinds of silly things and ignore others, so.... I've more or less accepted that... and I avoid the media where possible. The only media I've listened to that bought up the fact that there are lots of OTHER Australians in the same situation was Triple J (a govt. owned youth radio station) and even then the focus was still on Corby.

Well, sucks to be Corby right now.

... I keep forgetting that the legal age in the US is a lot different to the legal age in Australia

I also remember NSNick *before* he used to drink... At least I think I do. Back then *I* used to drink a lot more......

"Liquor cakes" ?

I've heard of brandy custard before, and liqueur chocolate, but not liquor cakes ;

... nothing beats *drinking* your alcohol though.

Most Australians know (before this case) about how strict Indonesia's laws are against this kind of thing. In fact, the nation is known for having strict laws for many things.

I think that's one of the reasons so many people believe that Corby is innocent. You'd have to be pretty damned stupid, or set up, (or threatened as the Bali 9 claim to have been) to be in her position, and she doesn't seem stupid...

I've had family members die before, and initially did not cry.... it just didn't feel "real", or hadn't sunk in or something yet.

Once something drove it all home, or it all sunk in, I cried then.

Just takes some time.

Okay, you're on. I don't know when though.

And what were we going to be drinking? You said shots, but there are few things I actually... tend to enjoy doing shots of

I'd prefer beer.

In fact, my weapon of choice would likely be either Coopers Pale Ale or Coopers Sparkling Ale

I assume all general bogan rules come into play, such as "eating is cheating" ?

OMFG.. I've just remembered something (likely bad) about beer that might be fun (and messy)

You ever done "100 shots in 100 minutes" ?

1 shotglass of beer, every minute, for 100 minutes. If we reach 100... keep going...

I'm sure I could find a comparable (alcohol content wise) beer to your choice (My Coopers' has .5% more...)

EDIT: It's not easy to find another 4% beer locally.... Grumpy's Brewhaus seems to have one but I've never tried it before and it's in the fecking hills. So I'd just drink the Coopers.

So, how's about it Nick? Century Club (I knew it was called something else, but the name escaped me, thanks for pointing that out ) ??

It'll also be a challenge for me as I've never actually done the Centurion to 100% -- last time I did it, I was sixteen and my Mum came and broke things up when I got to 60

The other thing is finding a time to actually do this. I'm currently "sick" so it won't be until I either recover from my op or whatever; and my timezone is also a fair bit offset from yours too, Nick I'm GMT +09.30, and (obviously) Friday or Saturday nights are best for me.

Trapster -- somehow I suspect I'll be able to drink you under the table.... easily

Well, at this point, I don't... really feel sad anymore. I really only "mourn" for my family members, who feel sad that she's gone.

I felt sad at one point, yet, not even a day later, I don't really... care, that she's gone. I wish it hadn't happened, but I feel she lived out her life.

Edit @ leg;

Yeah, I think the only reason I really think that there could be something wrong with me is because society doesn't really accept people who don't mourn. Which is sad in itself.

Yeah, I've felt guilty for not really mourning the death of one of my grandfather's all that... much. Or my great grandmother. I don't think anybody around me was trying to put a guilt trip on me, I just felt like -- they were all crying and stuff, and I... just wasn't.

Why is it that bad things all happen at once?

Oh well, this is why I drink.

Most of you know by now that I'm not having a good time as far as my health goes, but there are a few other nasties happening lately too.

First off, I'm breaking up with my long-time partner of three years. The relationship was abusive and difficult and I am better off without it.

Secondly I have a big ovarian cyst on my right ovary that hurts like hell but only ocasionally and for short periods. I'm more concerned about the possibility of it twisting or bursting.

Lastly, today I was served with a Bankruptcy notice. I either have to find $25,238.18 or be bankrupted. I'm particularly miffed about this, as the ex generated this debt under my name without my express permission and without me knowing what exactly was going on either, and I'm the one that's going to be fucked over by it.

This is why I drink, people. I don't cope with shit like this, and when the shit hits the fan, I drink. Now, shit quite this serious has never hit the fan before and not all at once, I've just had things like deaths in the family, stalkers, rape etc before, and they only attacked singularly, not in triplets like this.

*sigh* Gah! Pfftttbbppptt...

I don't really know what to do with all of this right now, but I'm going to try to sort it all out. My health, obviously is the priority, but how to buy time with the other two issues? The last issue in particular scares the bejeezus outta me and has the ability to fuck up my life significantly!

I want a day or a week off work.

And more beer.

Eh, Beer is just... good... right now. It's calming down the mounting feeling of fear and worry and panic.

Besides, once I've calmed down, I might be in a better mood to actually start investigating things like Legal Aid.

Beer isn't truly going to help, but it's going to make me a lot calmer, and in the immediate short term (ie, right now) numb. And numb would be good right now.
