How badly out of synch would you say it is?

Like everybody else said, it could just be some bad flash work out there.... or you could be watching Badger, Badger, Badger..... o.o

MUSHROOM MUSHROOM!

Heh....

Um, you might have to show us which ones you mean so we can see if it's out of synch ourselves.

Yeah, I rambled in my blog about it when it was still in the lineart phase of things. Since then I'm not as enthusiastic about it, having found flaws and stuff (those boobies really worry me ) but I'm still danged happy with me and my attempted folds

I think I'm getting better, I just need to control my urge to rush things and control my ability to get fed up and throw in the towel, so to speak.

Best thing I can suggest with folds is to go stand in front of a mirror with a piece of paper and pen and draw you (roughly) and your shirt (more detailed) and get a feel for how the fabric sits around the body.

EDIT:

How long did it take to draw that, and would you mind if I stole your ability to draw?

Stealing is bad! Er... that took me a few hours to draw (um, about three, by the final revision of the sketch/linework) and a further three or four hours to color All done in Open Canvas 3.something

Good detail and shading, but I think you need to shade a little more, make the shadows darker... it will add a lot of depth to the picture.

I used to not shade pics enough (still don't with a lot of mine) as if I was scared of making things too dark, and my teacher used to force me to shade darker... it always looked better once I did

The eyes and expression look gorgeous, very well done Very nice pic

Yeah, I've been wearing my hair in two little pigtails a bit lately. It's just a *touch* too short to go into one ponytail, but I can get it into two little pigtails fine.

I like little pigtails too, they're kinda cute!

As for the mouth gaping open, eh... I tend to draw myself and my characters as pretty... happy. Not sure why, my only guess is that I'm NOT happy, so I pretend to be happy through my artwork. She's/I'm meant to have a big happy grin there

Hmm...do you have a current naming convention for your servers?

Most places have a 'theme' to their naming convention. For instance, planets.

saturn.server.com
jupiter.server.com

Or, an ISP in Adelaide here has "states of drunkenness"

inebriated.server.com.au
tipsy.server.com.au
trollied.server.com.au

So, do you have a naming convention for your servers?

My two cents: People are fuckwits. (Or at least some people are)

I'm gonna share with you a little story about my family and former friends.. My father had several toes amputated when I was growing up. And some fingers. And later his leg. He used to joke about it, and he was given the joke nickname of "Stumpy". My Dad was pretty good-humoured about the whole thing, he'd joke about stuff, and he didn't mind being "Stumpy" or anything like that.

And everybody I knew growing up seemed so good about the whole thing with my Dad that I didn't really see how ugly people can be about these things till later. Years later.

I was watching a TV show with my ex and his friends a few years ago, and there was some medical show on. There were a lot of amputees on the show. And I listened in HORROR as these grown men and women started LAUGHING and pointing and calling these people on TV "Freaks" and making jokes and whatnot.

In the end, I flipped out. I couldn't handle it. All these people laughing then were people I had known most of my life at the surf club, and I knew that they all would've known my father when he was alive too, as he did work around the surf club when he was well enough (he was a welder, and he made a trailer for the surf boat and another trailer for the junior surfies equipment and such). He was a good person, trying to help even though he was sick and stuff. He was a well-known figure at the surf club, I wondered if they'd treated him the same way behind his back.

So, I stood up, grabbed the control and muted the TV and went off at them. "Is this the way you saw my father? He was an amputee too you know, did you all laugh at him behind his back too? Are you all that low you can't see these people as HUMAN BEINGS, you have to laugh at them? Does it make you feel good to laugh at amputees, to laugh at sick and injured people? You all make me sick!"

I stormed out, I think they laughed at me. I didn't care, I was too pissed off and too horrified at their actions. My ex tried to comfort me about it later that night, but he had an alterior motive. He didn't really care why I was upset.

I don't spend any time with those people any more. I'm disgusted by them all. In fact, I don't think I've seen any of them in 18 months or more.

Thing is, I know that it's not just those people that laugh at that kind of thing. Best I can do... is try to ignore those people... they're the fuckwits. I'd rather surround myself with people who don't think it's funny to laugh at others' misfortune.

Bleh, I'm probably offtopic, huh?

Well, ANZAC day is taken pretty seriously here. We observe a moment's silence, stores are closed for the first part of the day out of respect for those who died, etc, etc.

People even make a pilgrimage to Gallipoli, to ANZAC Cove, where the ANZAC troops fought and died during the war. Even though there's a terrorist advisary against going there, thousands of Australians have ignored it and gone anyways.

There are marches in most capital cities, and a lot of people go to see the ANZAC's marching.

Even stuff like the Football here is dedicating matches to ANZAC soldiers and such.

I'm proud of those men and women that fought for Australia (and New Zealand) but I'm also proud of the way Australia always remembers them every year on ANZAC day.

LEST WE FORGET.

I like what they do at the start of AFL matches (please don't call it GayFL.... I might not be an AFL fan, but I don't believe in making that kind of bigoted joke either. Call it "Aerial Ping-Pong" if you must) and the start of any other sport that is on ANZAC day.

Why? Well, I don't think we should all just STOP because it's ANZAC Day. Most of Australia doesn't, why should the AFL? However, I do think that they should show respect, as the rest of Australia does, and so they do.

Course, the commentators DO go on a bit, but commentators do that with EVERYTHING. (Football, Cricket, Swimming, etc, etc, etc....). Just do what I do and turn music up so you can't hear the Commentators and then watch the game

You ever asked why these people don't like this person?

Seriously, it's not very nice of them to act the way they did. I don't care if they don't like the person, most people "make nice" anyways. It's not nice to make another person feel alienated in that way.

I'm guessing you guys are still of school-age, huh? It's just that I haven't seen behaviour like that since I was in school. A few years down the track, and they'd be horrified with their own meanness, trust me. But now, the desire to be 'cool' or whatever it is seems to override common courtesy.

Eh, I'm going to fence-sit with the whole child-molestation thing. He is innocent until proven guilty.

But I agree that he is a very strange person, and that some of the things he seems to have done are very questionable. But that's not to say that he molested children, it's just that I think that some of the things he's done (like allowing children to sleep with him) is not quite right... whether he knows this or not.

And yes, Thriller rocks.

Eh, Teeny Bopper's a term I still use, although I think that the media and such are calling it "Tween" now as well....

As for Teeny Bopper ranks, this is pretty much how I see things like people calling themselves "Goths" or "Punks" or "Skaters" or whatever. As a product of adolescence. Most people grow out of labelling themselves this way too, so I guess it fits in the Teeny Bopper Ranks thing by age too

I understand that there will always be trends, after all trends are basically memes, I just don't understand why people have to follow these trends to the letter or fear not being "cool" or "accepted". Who fricken cares if your pants aren't "Skater" enough or whatever....

Wow, you're Mr Cynical now AREN'T you, Ambigore!?

Those things don't necessarily mean that, unless you've been dating particularly bitchy uh.. bitches.

"I Need A Break" is not a good sign, sure, but if the relationship's rocky or stressful to begin with (some people call it "passionate" o.o) then yeah, it might just be a break for both parties to get their head straight.

And "Let's Be Friends"... eh, I usually acknowledge it's hard to be friends with somebody after a relationship, but often the "Let's Be Friends" thing means that a girl doesn't want to let you out of her life.

We're not ALL heartless bitches, y'know

Anyways, breaking up is hard, on both sides of the relationship. I've broken up with my partner recently. We're trying to patch it up, but... it's hard. For both of us.

Sasser wins my respect, I must say.

I knew about Sasser (although I didn't have a name for it other than "stupid fucking virus") BEFORE Symantec even had a write up on it.

It's rare for me to have encountered a virus before Symantec's recorded it.

I didn't get it myself though, I had to troubleshoot it for somebody else, a full day before Symantec had a write up and removal tool. o.o

Yaaay, winblows.

And the virii/viruses thing is disputed, but I think it comes from the fact that we're taught as children that the plural of octupus is octopi, so we think that the plural of virus is virii.

I think it's safe to say that I've done absolutely nothing. Other than having one of the shortest lived moderatorships in the history of the board, I've done nothing here.

I was moderator of Modern Art for a little while, but not long.

I have TRIED many times to get a Political/Contraversial/Religious Discussion type forum up and running, and while the responses from users have been positive towards this idea each time, it has never eventuated. (Staff too busy, don't like the idea? I don't know, they never say in any of the threads....)

So.. uh.. I've done a whole lotta nothing.
