I think it's a good idea.

I wouldn't use it, but there are some users that would want or need this. Like you, for example.

It'd have to be something that can be enabled or disabled in your profile though, so people get a choice about whether they want filtering.

Actually, it's obvious the first one's a joke. (either that or the guy needs help)

The second one weirds me out, the millennium receipt.

Well, I wonder if anybody told the first guy that the rare moon rock brushed potatoes are on special this week at Woolworths...

Even when I'm looking for weird stuff, I don't usually find things that.... odd.

Just wondering, why do you think it is terrible?

If this is something that was going to be forced upon all users, then yes, I would be very very upset about it. But I have no problem with this being made available to those users who would want or need it.

If it was going to be forced upon everybody though, then yes, it would be terrible.

Cause it wouldn't be though, I think it's good, because it enables users to make a choice.

Well, my thoughts on Sunbird aren't all that much at the moment. It seems like it'll do the trick nicely, it's small and pretty neat.

But I don't yet have a need for a calendaring program on my home PC, so I don't think I'll really be able to judge either way if it's good or not.

However, I might try playing with it at work....

No, but there's a 50c piece stuck to the ground at the Train Station near my mum's house.

I didn't try to pick it up, but I did try to kick it. It seems to be stuck down with what resembles epoxy resin.
What the. There's two possibilities here: a) You DID try to pick it up. b) You kick way too many glued coins.

Well, there was a lot of epoxy or glue or whatever it is... if the person was trying to be discreet about it, they failed miserably. (read: good half-inch of epoxy/glue around outside edge of coin)

I didn't need to try to pick it up to see that it was stuck. I kicked it to try to find out HOW stuck.... (answer: STUCK)

I've seen Breadfish. I've seen all of those mentioned above.

I just like Magical Trevor better.

Oh, to dream....

What is your dream pieces of hardware, be it internal hardware or peripherals?

Lately, I dream of Apple. In particular, I dream of Apple Cinema Displays. My monitor at home is dying a slow painful color-distorting death, and I dream of the beautiful crystalline display that Apple offer. Color is very important to me, so I want something that displays it properly, and well.

I dream of Cinema Displays and DVI video cards.

Oh....

What do you dream of...?

Yesterday I would've loved to find a 5c coin on the ground.

I was 5c short of being able to buy an Iced Coffee.

Today was pay day, I'm no longer concerned about wanting to find small sums of money

eww.....

and here I've been blaming my lack of connectivity on my service provider. But then, it's fun to blame things on him, he's actually here for me to pull faces at and injure.

See, I'm mostly happy with my now aging P4. But the display shits me as it distorts color now.

So, the Apple Displays.

But it's not just Apple's displays I dream of. Frankly, I dream of pretty much all of Apple's hardware, particularly if it has "G5" or "Power" in the name....

I also dream of the Mac Mini, because let's face it if I'm being realistic about my money situation, that's about all I can really afford. ;

Simple difference is that DVI sends a digital signal to the display, wheras VGA does not. The digital signal results in clearer color / picture, etc. I'm not really sure of the specific details though, so that's as "technical" as I'll get...

I wish I was on DVI, particularly with the recent problems I've been having with color and stuff on my little PC.

I used it a bit last night, while working out a timeline for when I get paid and when rent is due and stuff.

It's nice and simple, which I like. I'm not sure if I prefer it over iCal though or not yet.
