I am not a graphics professional, but graphics is a hobby that I take very very seriously.

I actually do find the graphics stuff a barrier to my being able to use Linux more as an OS. The GIMP does not do what I need it to do -- not just as an alternative to Photoshop, but it also isn't an acceptable alternative to other software that I need to use to create my artwork.

It's cause of this that I got a Mac. I'm fed up with Windows, I'm really really sick of it and all the patching and weirdness. I use it for work, but otherwise I would rather be free of Windows. I can't do what I need to do with graphics in Linux though either -- so I have a Mac.

I love my Mac. But I would also love to see more professional tools and more varied/specialised tools on Linux too for artists.

Another poll.

Just wondering which of the Mozilla suite you guys use.

Mozilla have a few nifty little things out lately (Firefox being the most well known lately it seems) so I was wondering which apps you use...

In particular, I'm wondering how many Firefox users also use Thunderbird and/or Sunbird.

Multi-voting is enabled so you can vote for as many as you need to.

Ah, that was one of my alterior motives in posting this poll too. To find out if any of you knew about Sunbird. And if you did, hopefully find out something about what you think of it.

I'm looking at it, and I've heard of it for a while; but they've just had their first official release so I'm now poking around in Sunbird 0.2

And I should update my Thunderbird now that I think of it.

I found a $100 once.

It belonged to my uncle though so I had to return it. I got $10 instead.

The Final Fantasy VII Citadel.

Quite some time ago now too, three or so years.

I think that it's overrated -- but that doesn't mean that I don't think it's good.

Kenshin is a very enjoyable series and it's one of my favorites. But I think that this "best anime series out there" rating is definitely overrating the series. It's just a nice, fun series.

No, but there's a 50c piece stuck to the ground at the Train Station near my mum's house.

I didn't try to pick it up, but I did try to kick it. It seems to be stuck down with what resembles epoxy resin.

After my history, I didn't need proof to know that rugby fans and players were a few fries short of a Happy Meal

This just drives the point home.

See, but until it does something like -- not let a user into their Bank website, or steal their details or download Bonzi Buddy for them without them asking, the vast majority will not care.

I know.

Well, I'm trying it out to see how it goes.

I'm having trouble retraining myself, I have to admit. But I will get over that.

I really don't mind either way, but I agree that if we have a lot of new features, it would be best to find a really neat logical way to display everything.

Hmm.... the fact that it was donated doesn't really make it all that much better.

Besides, are the donators paying for the upkeep? Not according to that article, they're not.

Well, what everybody else says.

Let him do it.

If you do, he'll know that you trust him, and he'll also get the life experience of being in a play and performing in front of people and stuff. It's a good experience to have, and he'll get a lot out of it.

Besides, you can always rehearse the play with him and be Juliet
