| At the moment, definitely Fruits Basket. The characters are great, and the character development is good also. The only character that doesn't really change is the heroine -- but she changes everybody around her. I'm enjoying Cardcaptor Sakura manga too, it's cute. |

 I have been trying to take photos of things lately, as I bought myself a digital camera. I've learned now to change the exposure on my camera now too so I can take dark photos!! This is the first good photo I've taken of something dark.... it's my Christmas Tree!! (Behold it in all it's 60cm glory...) Anybody have some hints on photography? I'm not good at this stuff... |

| I put Candy Canes on it now (the candy canes are half the size of the tree, but that's cause they're HUGE candy canes, and it's a TINY tree). Eh, I played some more with trying to get a good photo of it, and tried it with the flash just to see what I got. I didn't like the results with the flash, but here they are (and you can see the huge colorful candy canes) Christmas Tree with Flash On. I also tried with some more light in the room, and again with slower shutter speeds, to see if that helped.... I like this a lot better. Christmas Tree with greater exposure. I wish I knew more about photography, I am such a n00b at it.  |

| Aiiiieeeeieieie.... I have to write a Job Application for a government job. I'm very unsure/nervous about this, because writing, particularly formal writing, is not my strong point. Government Job Applications are a little different to normal ones. They send out what's called a "Job and Person Specification" and you have to write a response to the Job and Person Specification. Funny, it sounds easier when I write it out like this than it is actually **DOING** the stupid response. The response has to write to very specific criteria and bacially... has to be extremely well written bullshit about how utterly fabulous I am. I'm not good at bullshitting about how fabulous I am (hell, I'm not much of a bullshit artist in general), so this is particularly hard. (Although I wonder -- is ANYBODY good at writing BS about themselves?) I have till the 7th of January to complete this highly polished piece of bullshit! I'm freaking out!! Anyways, I was wondering, is anybody out here good at writing stuff, and would anybody be willing to help proofread and stuff? If I do this right, I'll get permanancy at my job. Permanancy is GOOD -- it means I get to stop worrying where my next meal is coming from! Course, this is also the reason I'm freaking out so much. If I don't do it well, I WON'T get permanancy... and I'll lose this job that (despite the stupid users) I love so much!! *freakoutfreakoutfreakout* Anybody willing to lend me a hand? |

| The Google thing has a place sometimes. Some questions can only really be answered with links to Google. Say somebody says that they need to do an assignment on World War II for school. I don't know about you guys, but I don't know enough about WWII to consider myself a good source for this information, so I'd likely link to a Google Search about it, and advise that while I don't know enough about the topic, the sites on the first page look interesting. (I'd probably also ask if they needed to know anything specific about WWII, or just general information) Course, sometimes people post Google links to be obnoxious, but sometimes it really is the best answer.
