| Just a note, after having caught public transport home. PUBLIC TRANSPORT SUCKS!! (at least, it does in Adelaide). Bleh, but it's still a LOT cheaper than the expenses involved with a car. |

| Dr Phil is *very* harsh on the people he talks to on his show, sometimes he's joking, sometimes he's being nasty, and it's very thinly veiled as joking. If the people he talked to had real mental illnesses, the information he would give them would be counter productive... in some cases quite hurtful. Although he isn't as bigoted as it sounds like this woman is, he does make accusations towards the guests, etc. The difference is that he doesn't seem to make his accusations based on the same kind of criteria -- he doesn't bring religion into it, etc. As a "shrink" he'd suck. As an entertainer, he's very good, but I don't think he's really helping the people on his show as much as providing the audience with something good to watch. Course, I'm sure real help isn't as entertaining.... |

Eh, I wouldn't have been able to drive home anyways.... but for different reasons. Sight is one of the things that would be impaired  Eh, I used to have a car, and prices have been as high as they are at the moment (in Australia at least) when I had it. I used to just put little amounts of money in for petrol. but I dunno why, I guess I used to fool myself into thinking I wasn't spending so much that way (but I was likely spending even more). The prices, btw, seem a little higher than they are here, but like I said, they're at very high prices here. I remember that they used to be in the 90c a litre range once..... |

| See, I've never been tall. Girls are meant to be taller first, then boys go through their growth spurt in their teens and get really tall. But I was never even taller during that growth spurt when girls are meant to get tall. I've *always* been short, and I didn't get much taller during my teens. I think it's fairly safe to say now that I've stopped growing (upwards at least.... can't comment on "outwards" so much) now... Is this tale about boys/girls growth spurts true?? Did most of the guys here find that they were shorter than the girls till they hit puberty?? And Girls, were you taller than the boys as a kid? |

| Actually, there's a difference between the terms "Nationalism" and "National Pride" (according to one of my teachers at school, so this could all be BS anyways). Course, I've had a few beers and I forget what it is right now, but anyways... it seems to me more like this thread is National Pride than Nationalism. I'm pretty sure the difference is that Nationalists say that their country is better than anybody else's, whereas people with National Pride are proud to belong to their country, but they don't necessarily feel that their country is better than anybody else's. I'm proud to be an Australian, but I don't think Australia is the best country in the world (nowhere near it). Just the one with the best beer |

With the name "eskimo" it probably isn't all that uncommon. I thought of the Australian band "Eskimo Joe" though when I saw the name.  Is the name "eskimo" based on anything else at all?? |

| I saw these earlier, but didn't comment.... Both of them look pretty good to me. You have a very cute comic style. What are you using to color the pictures with?? (Software? And with a mouse, or a tablet?) If you're using a tablet, give programs like Painter or Open Canvas a try, I'd be interested to see what you could do with stuff like that..... |

| I'll state the most obvious -- Tom's Hardware. (search google for it). Why are you doing this? Is this for some kind of assignment, or advertising, or just "cause you can". You're best to actually go out and test things yourself if you can, so that other people's bias doesn't color your writing. Course, that's expensive, but still.... And incidentally, I am not a fan of overclocking.... I would rather have a 'slower' but more stable system than a faster system at higher risk. |

| Yeah, I'm going to have to go with what Trapster has already said. One of the first things I ask clients to check at work is if they have the most recent driver, and if they don't, I ask them to get it and see if it solves the problem. That said, video isn't my strong point, but in general this goes for most hardware anyways.... |

| I've been putting it off for a while, but I finally bought the final two Lord of the Rings movies. They are very very tiring to watch. I'm also weirded out that places in there seem to look a lot like the illustrations in my book (drawn by Alan Lee). Minas Tirith looks JUST like in the book, and so does most of Mordor, etc. I really need to check out the extras on the disk to see if Alan Lee is credited.... |

Hehe, cheers for the b'day wishes, Trapster  I've been celebrating by getting drunk, so please bear with me....(my posts may not make much sense)..... it was Happy Hour at work today to celebrate the last day of the School Term (and hopefully less support calls as a result), and I kinda.... had a few drinks. Then I went to the Casino, played blackjack and had a few scotches. Course, I figure a birthday is as good an excuse as any to have a few.... Unleashing myself on the internet afterwards/during is probably not a good idea though.... |
