| Ah, I've heard of the Star Wars RTS, and I think I've seen one of them in stores for Mac... (but not been sure whether to buy it or not). Red Alert 2 is my favorite as far as gameplay goes, but I get errors when I try to play the story one after a certain way... So I just skirmish. A lot. |

| Lindy Chamberlain was the mother of a child whose woman was taken by a Dingo 20 years ago. It's never really been sorted out whether it was true or not what she claimed, but I think they're leaning towards believing that a dingo really did take her baby now. | Come to think of it, all the enduring tabloid-esque mystery stories around here involve children. The Lindy Chamberlain thing, and the Beaumont Children (local Adelaide thing, children that went missing) seem to endure as these great mysteries that are dug up for entertainment value over and over and over again. It didn't help that a local businessman had hired a psychic to go around trying to find the Beaumont Children... and we got lovely stupid news footage of this tie-dyed woman prancing around an old shed saying "they're here!!" |

| They weren't there, nobody knows where they are, still. As for the Lindy killing her daughter thing, she was jailed for the murder of her daughter.... but I think people have now decided that maybe a Dingo did do it. |

| Yeah, the Love Hina manga is very good. Oh, speaking of manga -- the Fruits Basket manga is excellent. Starts off the same as the anime series, but then there are BIG changes, and things are MUCH darker... very very much worth reading  |

| Eh *votes* I'll use Public Transport, like I currently do anyways. I worked out how much it costs to run a car at Aussie prices and it makes better sense for me to catch Public Transport instead. Otherwise I have to pay registration, fuel, car parking, etc, and it just didn't work out to be cost effective. I may hate the bus, but it saves me money, so I can spend money on other crap. |

| Hardware can survive water -- but NOT if you power it on while it's still wet. Maybe that might've been one of the things that upset this I've heard of stories of pots of coffee being accidentally spilled into the back of monitors. Unplugged the monitor, let it dry out for a week or so, somewhere dry, plug it back in, it's fine -- although it makes a lovely roasting coffee smell for a bit after startup. |

| Gah, its coming... Christmas. I've been trying to think about the kind of stuff to get people, like my Mum, and my brother for Christmas, only I'm kinda stuck. I was just wondering, has anybody here already thought about what they're getting their family? Or even better -- are you super organised and have already bought it? I'm still thinking about what to get for Mum, and I'm stumped. Not much better for my brother... if iPods weren't expensive, they'd be the perfect gift for him (he loves his music), but I'm not spending *that* much on that brat! |
