My brother puts colored smoke bombs in those Skill Tester machines. VERY funny, but it doesn't get him out of anything, least of all exams. |

Why is this in this forum? Are we battling the cat now? Er, and some people think that there's a thing between geeks in general and cats, not just romhacking. |

Well, I've progressed further, but I still don't get who this game is supposed to be appealing to. On one hand, we have this whole dress-ups thing, which is soooooo Barbie, or maybe Charlie's Angels or something.... On the other hand, outside of the Concept Art ones, which I've gotten used to....most the clothes look REALLY SLUTTY. So far, the White Mage one is the only outfit in which they're not showing off some skin... or having some kind of g-string-over-lycra thing happening. Course, I do have to admit that so far, all three male leaders of the various groups are definitely bishounen. But seriously, are they marketing this to horny teenagers? With all the scattered arse, I'm really... wondering... As for plot, yeah, it's mediocre, but I keep playing... I think it's cause it still hurts too much to type. |

I'm guessing the price of a motherboard is prohibitively expensive. Most likely anyways... and if you get a new mobo, you may as well get a new CPU and RAM.... quite possibly will have to anyways... which is why it becomes prohibitively expensive.

Yaaay, still at 5th... which is good, cause I can't type much at all at the moment. I have to work tomorrow, I hope my hand is better, oh I really hope... I'm so sick of this. |

An anime called Armageddon that was on TV here years ago. Other than having a very very thin plot, it also ripped off several scenes of movies like Star Wars and other anime cliches. The animation was awful, the storyline pathetic, and none of the characters were particularly likable. Next up was Angel Cop which had better animation, and more senseless violence, but did a very poor job of drawing you in and making you care about the characters -- more to the point, by halfway through, I wanted them all to die. |

Well, I've posted some links to up to date Election information in This Thread if you want more information / break down of how things are going. Wasn't sure if I should post it in here or not, as it isn't exactly debate on the topic per se, it's more information.

I would if IRC worked at work. But it doesn't, and CNN and stuffs do. I find it interesting that more men seem to vote for Bush, and more women seem to vote for Kerry.... Did anybody else notice that? |

It's a little significant, because those percentages translate to huge, huge amounts of people. Sure, 54% doesn't sound like much, till you remember that it's 54% of a LOT of people (46,468,220 votes have been counted.... if roughly half of that are female... )

Originally posted by Raistlin the Red Robed Thanks, Raistlin. Guys, if you are going to make accusations, back them up with a link or some kind of proof. Raistlin has some work experience to back up what he is saying, I suggest if anybody else is going to make accusations, that they either refrain from doing so, or back it up with a link documenting what they are accusing. Please Don't want to see a flame war. You have a right to be pissed off about the election, but if you're going to make accusations, it's best to back them up, or you're... just setting fires. |

Originally posted by Kitten Yiffer No, but Clinton did a few things differently, and had different challenges too. Clinton had the country's finances in surplus, and he didn't have Osama flying planes into buildings. Instead, he just had an affair, which resulted in bad bad jokes the world over. Bush has had it harder, but he's also made bad decisions along the way. The country is in deficit, and the Iraq thing has not exactly gone well... |

Just wondering, what kind of measures are in place in your government to (as the Australian Democrats here say) "Keep the Bastards Honest" ? In Australia, we have a very powerful senate, that can block bills that aren't fair, etc. The Senate here has forced changes to many bills that would've been unfair, or blocked others that were completely out of line. Is there any such system in the US? |

I've missed not knowing exactly how long I've been an Acmlmboarder for. Oh what I would give to have that back in my profile, my sweet, sweet registration date. Oh yeah.... |

We have a thread about this in this forum and it's prolly best to post your thoughts there, to try to avoid any arguments and things around our happyhappy General Chat And yeah, I am a little bummed myself, but there's nothing I can do about it. Except for bitch, whine, piss and moan, of course |

The idea of a draft scares me. I don't know if you'd get one or not, but I see the things this way: It's sending off people who DON'T want to so something against their will, so you're probably not going to get the best performance out of them. A lot of them are going to be resentful and stuff, you're just not going to get the same performance out of them as you'd likely get out of somebody who did it WILLINGLY and WANTS to do it, as that person would have enthusiasm It's scaring the crap out of a bunch of people, like healthy young men who would be PERFECT for the job, other than the fact that they prolly don't wanna. It's scaring the crap out of those people's families too. Wee..... there'd have to be one DAMNED good reason for a Draft, in my opinion, otherwise, it's just a really shoddy way of getting people into the armed forces. Good to hear that there isn't likely to be one. |

... I think this thread may be going off topic somewhat.... Well, at any rate, it appears that Bush is the new President.. still. I want to know, however, if the vote is audited before it becomes official. This site (black box voting) explains why I asked. It seems to say that it isn't audited. If Bush is voted in, then fine, but I'm only happy with it if the voting process is audited to make sure that there are no errors. Same if Kerry was voted in, I just want to know that the voting process is audited to ensure that the correct result occurs. Weee..... |
