| I like The Streets, I remember their "Original Pirate Material" album in 2002 as well. My favorite song is "Too Much Brandy" I've never really known what to classify The Streets as, although I guess "Hip Hop", just pretty unique in that genre.... Somebody once suggested "Brit-Hop" Aussie Hip Hop is interesting too, for that matter, although I'm not a huge fan of a lot of it -- my brother absolutely loves it though -- I gotta admit I find the Hilltop Hoods "Nosebleed Section" kinda catchy.... |

| Never heard of a Harveys. Have heard of Barnacle Bills, but not this Bill Miller BBQ thing either. We tend to have a fairly small range of fast food chains here though, and I don't think Australia gets half the stuff that the US gets in that respect either. We do get McDonalds, but I dont' tend to eat there much. I prefer Hungry Jacks (which is what Burger King is called in my state, and apparently only in my state) to McDonalds'.... |

| Well, it's National Novel Writing Month again... nearly. I was just wondering, who here on the forum is likely to be participating in this year's nanowrimo? I'm... considering it, but only half.. I doubt I'll get the time to do something like this, and I certainly can't think of a plot, so I'd likely just write an autobiography. Anybody going to be participating? | That would require... a lot of work. An idle animation is one thing, but that... is much harder.... I'm not sure how to go about doing that at the moment... I'd have to think about it a bit... moving an arm is fine, but swinging a sword.... would require the body to twist, which I think would be a little harder to animate well.... |

Okay, I haven't heard this song yet, but it's freaking me out. My favorite artist at the moment is Ben Folds. For those of you that don't know, Ben Folds married a girl from my home town, Adelaide, and he lives here. He's now apparently written a song about Adelaide... or at least called "Adelaide". I guess it's... how much I can post is defined by how much other people post. More people posting means it's possible for me to post more too. If people aren't posting, I can't post much, at least not without spamming... I'm sure it's like this with everybody though too

It's for all those people that have ever thought that they'd maybe write something one day... this is kinda to get them to actually write something..... they acknowledge that anything written in that time is likely to be crap, but... still, at least then people have written something, and it's a lot easier to fix up the crap than it is to fix up something you haven't even written at all...

I haven't really animated before either, that's the thing. |
With drawing a samurai sword, the character is probably going to twist their upper body, which is going to be tricky to realise in pixel art.... (and not exactly easy if I just plain drew it either) I'd probably have to do several sketches of each step of the animation... all which would have to be fairly precise and accurate in relation to the other sketches... so probably a lot of tracing is going to occur, with minor changes... the trick will be making those changes look proper, not stupid.... THEN I have to pixel it all.... and put it all together....... arghrghrghrg. This could take me, whilst working full time, a good month to complete properly. Not counting all the rurouni kenshin I am going to study intently to watch Kenshin draw his sword....  Horrible sketch animation. Anyways, I'm sure it can be done, as I guess demonstrated above to some extent, but it will take a lot of work. That's just moving the arm, ideally she'd bend her knees, and then also put the sword back in it's sheath as well.... and of course, it'd have to be a FUCK LOAD neater!!
