| I'm not in any hurry to download SP2. I've seen it working on some machines, and I've seen it utterly break others. If I were to install SP2, it would be after I'd ghosted my machine, so I had a restore point to come back to if SP2 were to bork the system. It does add a level of security to IE, but from what I hear, it is too little, too late... ![]() |

| So your neighbour found your mother's car, is that right? Did they report it to the police? Is the car damaged? (edited by ChibiTaryn on 10-07-04 06:18 PM) |

| See, I've had a few blood tests lately, and will have another one in a month and a half, and the buildup is still the worst bit. Closely followed by that dizzy feeling afterwards -- although last time I wasn't feeling ill when I had the blood test so I didn't get that; it only seems to happen when I'm not feeling great. As for tattoo needles, never had one, and don't know enough about them.... |

| See, fish and chips sounds good, but it can depend a lot on where you get them from. I don't like mine *too* greasy... I tend to prefer fresh fish and stuff though Maybe later I might go to the markets again and get some fresh fish. Or some seafood -- king prawns sound good ![]() |

| Ah, sorry to hear it. How much is the damage estimated at, and is it covered by insurance / victims of crime ? I've been lucky, I've never had my car stolen. It's probably to my advantage though that my car wasn't particularly great either. I'm sure any potential thieves were scared the wheels might fall off or something. ![]() Anyways, does it look like the car was just used as a joyride thing, or is it likely it was used in another criminal activity? |

Hmm... I can handle other people getting needles, but sometimes I can get a kinda creepy feeling watching the needle pierce the flesh and sink in deeper and deeper. Just some kind of weird, unnerved feeling. I think it's partly cause there's just this part of my brain that says it's not right that something goes in somebody like that... ![]() As for gross things, yeah, the internet has that effect upon people ![]() |

| Well, with your step dad, if he does hit you, file assault charges. I'd be surprised if he did it again after that.... As for getting a job, I found working in a supermarket to be okay. At least, better than working in a fast food place. |

| Description is possibly more important than the name too, remember. A name is important, but the description will kinda set the ground rules and stuff a little -- like the description for Officer's Club does. And this could well be the kind of forum that needs ground rules set, and to be very clear. If the rules aren't set and clear, that is when problems may arise, but as long as everybody knows what the rules are, it should be all good ![]() |

| Final Fantasy Tactics Advance is pretty good, in my opinion, and quite different from other Final Fantasy games too, from what I can see. It's got a generally "lighter" storyline, and it's just pretty cute, really. Wario Ware is good. Very silly though. Lots of minigames, keeps me very amused on the bus. Get this one if you just want something you can play as little as a few minutes of -- this is great for cramming into small pockets of time. |

| Coooooool!! Google SMS This little gem has just been added / made available by Google. Sounds pretty nifty to me, although I'm currently unable to give it a try -- it being a US number for starters, and me having no credit. But still, it's a nifty idea I imagine it'd come in handy if you needed to search for a pizza shop or something ![]() EDIT: And I forgot this too, but they've also released Google Print -- a book search! | Google Press Center: Zeitgeist This page is really, really interesting! You can see what the popular queries are for various countries, and other interesting Google information. It's very very cool ![]() It's interesting to see what the current popular queries are this week, and what they were in August and stuff. It's also interesting the variations from country to country! Like that in China, Christina Aguilera is the number 2 search query!! ![]() Course, Norway, Sweden and Finland crack me up too. Look at where Britney gets on their Query lists... I find it interesting the stuff that's listed this week. Obviously a large political slant, but glad to see things like Space Ship One are up there too ![]() Very cool link.... But Norway, Sweden, Finland and China need to get better taste in queries (So do Australia, with Australian Idol being up there.. bleargh!) ![]() |

| Well, I'm thinking I might try to make a roast for dinner tomorrow night with my new roommates, but I'm not sure what to get. I'm going to ask them too, but I was just wondering, what do you guys like as a roast dinner? I'm leaning towards Pork, because I haven't had roast pork in ages, and the crackling is awesome! Of course, whatever I cook, it will have roast vegies and the appropriate sauces with it Mmm... getting hungry thinking about it ![]() What's your favorite... what do you suggest I do? |

I like the "bribe" material. Tostitos and Ramen Noodles. ![]() Heh, this whole thing is silly. But it goes to show how unpopular Moore is with some people -- I'm sure somebody else could try the same stunt and not be arrested. |

Moore may be vehemently anti-Bush, but he's also stated that he'd "keep an eye on" Kerry as well.. ![]() Course, I still think that the local shock-jock could've tried the same thing and not have been arrested. But Moore tends to rub a lot of people the wrong way.... I can see why Moore rubs people the wrong way, of course, but I can also see why he is popular amongst others. I personally enjoyed his TV Nation and The Awful Truth shows when they were aired in Australia ![]() |

| Well, we didn't have the roast, after all... We actually had something called "Jambalaya" which I've never had before, but was pretty damned cool. ![]() But I will try to have a little roast later. I am looking forward to it, actually.... |

Jambalaya is spicy. It's a cajun thing. Ours wasn't real hot though, but it had a little spice in it.I need to be in the right mood for spice, but this was good ![]() |
