Well, yesterday I bought volume 2 of Kill Bill, so now I have both of those

I also bought the last DVD of the anime series Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi, which completes my box set.

I haven't bought much else besides that though, other than more.... mundane things. Like a toothbrush. o.o

An interesting game, very very anti-bush and an interesting cross between very serious and very silly.

A lot of it reeked of propaganda.

And the pixel art was pretty cool

Mmm... snacks from the Chinese Grocery. Yum.

Just wondering, do you guys buy junk food from asian groceries? And if you do, what stuff do you recommend?

I tend to buy Pocky (they have Chocolate and Strawberry pocky, but I can't find any other flavors here). I like Strawberry better than Chocolate with the Pocky for some reason.

I also have Yan Yan, which I can find in more flavors than the Pocky. Yan Yan is pretty good and my favorite flavor is the chocolate one. I tried strawberry, but it's just not as good.

Hello Panda is good too, again the chocolate one is good

But there's so much other stuff in the asian grocery that looks good, and I don't know where to begin trying it all

So, does anybody else eat confectionary and snack foods from the asian grocery, and if you do, what do you recommend?

Yeah, Hello Panda are kinda panda head biscuits with filling I have chocolate and milk ones at the moment They're yummy.

I can't find any of this stuff in a regular supermarket though, I have to go to the markets or the asian grocery to get it. The really good ramen and indonesian noodles get sold in the supermarket though Cheaper than at the asian grocery too

Oh, and the Cashew nut crackers are good too....

also to be correct, pocky and hello panda are a japanese thing, not chinese.

Heh, I didn't say where they came from, I just said I get them at the Chinese grocery. We don't have a Japanese grocery here.... but there are a few Korean and Chinese ones, and the chinese ones happen to sell Pocky and Hello Panda, amongst other things Unfortunately, they don't sell this stuff at the "western" style supermarkets, even in the "asian" isle. They **do** have an increasingly good selection of ramen and mi goreng though!

And there are no Sanrio stores around here. There was a short lived Hello Kitty store, but it closed...

An asteroid is going to come pretty close to earth this Wednesday. Apparently it's the biggest thing to come so close to Earth this century.

The Article

It won't hit us though At least, not this time around anyways....

I just wanna know if we'd be able to see it at all... probably need a telescope.

LOL, reminds me of that bit in Austin Powers, where Austin and his father talk in "English"....

British slang is about as colorful as Australian slang

We're not going to get hit by this one, but it's significant, just cause it's the largest one of these to pass so close in a century. So, it's just an interesting event, not a OMFG TEH WORLD IS TEH ENDING!!!11 thing.

Like I said, I'd like to see if we can see it when it passes by....

As for what the asteriod looks like -- a friend and I are not sure if it looks like a Peanut, or more like Mr Hankey....

I have a Hello Kitty glass from the Hello Kitty store (before the one here closed). It's cute

As for my shopping trip, I didn't actually pay attention to where the stuff I was buying actually came from -- I was buying the stuff that looked sweet.. It's probably just coincidence that the stuff I got happened to be all Japanese I knew the Pocky was Japanese though.

There were other snack foods there that I'll try next time around, although the chilli peas looked interesting... I'm not sure if I'd be able to eat many, but Ben might like them. There were also egg roll things that looked nice. And the cashewnut crackers are kinda cool, but not as addictive as say, the Yan Yan is... omg, more Yan Yan...

Yan Yan are biscuit sticks, but unlike Pocky they are not already coated in something -- they come instead with a creamy sweet dip you dip the biscuit sticks in. The chocolate Yan Yan is good

Did you just put the file in the Fonts folder, or did you INSTALL it?

You generally need to actually install it. When you navigate to the Fonts folder, and then go to "File" there should be an option to install fonts.

In theory, yes, but it depends on the size of them and what they're made up of. Some have been known to break up into smaller pieces which all burn up, but other stuff can stay solid and so it doesn't all burn up.

But as said, this won't hit us, it just gets close enough to provide a viewing challenge for those that are interested.

Another reminder that this planet is just a tiny speck in the universe...

My school didn't have great options as far as IT goes, and as far as I'm concerned, the whole curriculum here is really dull....

Oh well, I don't go to school, I do this thing I call "independent learning". I just learn what I want, when I want, how I want

Cake, always Cake.

I like Cake's stuff, although I admit it's nothing particularly special, I do find that their stuff has a good beat and fun to listen to. I like the song "Comfort Eagle".
