I like the last one the best for some reason, with GIR looking around

They all seem a little shiny to me, but it looks cool

I demand a photograph.

(I like photographs of computers) Show us her pretty inside bits... mmm.... *computerpervertedness*

My speakers play some weird garbage too sometimes, I updated the drivers for the motherboard chipset and it went away...

I'm just wondering... why is it that the rules around here are called an "FAQ".

I'd assume it would be more appropriate for the rules to be listed instead as a Terms of Service. The term FAQ doesn't imply something that must be complied with as much as TOS does for one.

Just curious.

I'd personally have the rules in a TOS, and an FAQ for all those things like "how do I pronounce Acmlm?".

A Sony?! Proprietary? oh surely you jest!

There's a possibility that there will be a way to get around it, although I don't know off the top of my head. I'd suggest a good google search to see what you can find. Although it depends really if anybody's reverse-engineered Sony's proprietariness to the point of making it work in Linux.

The only reason I mentioned it is cause I realised how funny it sounded when somebody (I forget who) wrote "make sure you comply with the FAQ"

make sure you comply with the frequently asked questions

The term "Terms of Service" is a lot clearer on that it's something that people have to comply with. Course, I don't want to add additional confusion to the board, just.... y'know, a thought

I could've told you without looking it up that it'd be proprietary.

Asking if a Sony product will use properietary methods/protocols is like asking "Is the Pope a Catholic?".

I like strawberry ice cream.

Just the real fresh gourmet variety with actual strawberries in it

Bingo. Memory Stick in particular sticks in my mind... when we have SD and Compact Flash... why... WHY did they need to create a new thing?

Mozilla Firefox / Deer Park

Deer Park Alpha 2 is now available for download. Deer Park Alpha 2 is an alpha release of our next generation Firefox browser and it is being made available for testing purposes only for developers and the testing community. Current users of Mozilla Firefox 1.0.x should not download or use Deer Park Alpha 2.

Just wondering, who here uses Deer Park?

I am using it at work, and I find it to be pretty good. It's quicker than Firefox was on this machine both in startup and loading tabs, and I haven't had any bugs yet (except for one with an extension, ImageZoom)

I was wondering if anybody else is using it, and if so... how are you finding it?

lol... I can't work out GarageBand, but then I've never done any real music creation stuff before. I got it to play Song of Joy... that was about it. I'd like to see if I could do better if I plugged it all into a keyboard and used the keyboard as input....

Which iBook? A 12" ? The new ones look pretty nice (model up from mine, I have an older 12" iBook) and I think I might have to upgrade at some point. Mine's only 800Mhz and running Panther, but I could do with some more CPU and some Tiger... rowr.

I like the original Dragonball manga, and I don't even mind the early DBZ shows.

It's later DBZ that started getting annoying and entirely too repetetive.

I like early DBZ, when Gohan is all little and cute

I was fairly lucky with all my Firefoxes, plus I also knew that it was all testing stuff so I wasn't too upset if things did go funny.

I'm more than happy to put myself in the testing seat.

Hm... I don't know how you edit them in the registry, but I'm sure there's a utility to change file associations within Windows (go to My Computer, then Tools then... I forget as I'm not on a Windows machine right now...)

I don't know how you change the description that way though, but I have to get clients to change file associations a lot at work (to stop .jpg files from opening in Imaging and get them to open in something else), and I go in through My Computer / Windows Explorer and do it.

the fans blink to music? Just out of interest, how does that work? My brother would be really interested in that, he keeps talking about casemodding his P4...

Broken bones:
- None

Insect bites:
- Ants. Frequently.
- A spider on my right big toe. Not sure what kind of spider it was, but the spot it bit itches still from time to time.
- Bees as a child (not allergic)

Other living creatures:
- My budgie used to bite me a bit
- My rabbit thought I was edible
- My dog bit me once, but didn't draw blood
- My kittens thought I was edible, they also thought I was a scratching post and that my toes must be mercilessly hunted down and shredded...
- I've been bitten by several "Yabbies" (a freshwater crayfish)
- MANY Jellyfish stings. They suck when they get down your swimming costume the most. It feels weird when you punch your arm through one too...

Medical conditions:
- Asthma
- Eczema
- Acid Reflux

Surgery:
- Adenoids and tonsils removed when I was 5
- Tubes put in ears when I was about the same age
- Right ovary and right fallopian tube removed due to large ovarian cyst a few months ago. (Cut along bikini line, as well as laparoscopy)

- Misc
- My brother hit me in the forehead with a 9-iron Golf Club on the backswing. It would've been nice if he'd told me he was going to swing the golf club around so I could NOT be standing behind him when he did it...
- I hit my head on the airconditioner at my old house once and gave myself a mild concussion
- I smashed a glass in my hand once, and cut along my right thumb. No stitches as they were scared of damaging the tissue, lost feeling to most my thumb for a few years, still have a scar
- I was thought to have swallowed a hair tie when I was little and I was rushed to hospital, choking. Turns out later I hadn't swallowed anything... not sure why I was choking.
- Many minor burns and cuts while cooking. I shouldn't be allowed near blunt knives (I use more pressure, slip and cut myself) or hot things. Sharp knives are fine...
- Deferred pain in right and left wrists and hands (similar to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome) due to a problem in my shoulders. Becomes problematic after excessive typing.

That's about it.... I've never really hurt myself seriously.
