LOL -- I don't think I could do animation, honestly. I can barely animate somebody *blinking*

Added a Not Safe For Work warning, although I think all the other warnings implied that as well anyways.

Hmm, and I'm wondering if the whole "Batman" thing has to do do with the way I've tried to put the moonlight on her back... that was fun to do I initially thought about having her almost entirely silhouetted except for the moonlightey bits -- I wanted to downplay the nudity -- but then I realised that then I'd have to sacrifice the detail in the face too....

Awww, so cute

Hmm... that was a tough call with Nick -- beer or lightsaber. I do agree that both might be dangerous o.o

Hehe, the bobbly-heads are cute too

Hm, well a little "new" flag would be great... particularly when you have the last post but you have to add new information to a thread..... cause an edit doesn't guarantee that anybody will even check the thread.

PS, everybody please check my stupid question in the HW/SW problem and fix my compy It's teh sad.

I broke up with my ex on Friday the 13th.... nearly 2 months ago! And he's still being a pain in the arse.

In the meantime I think I like my housemate, but I suspect it's one sided.

Eating. I eat the wrong things and I eat too much of them.

Sleeping. I don't go to bed early enough; I hate getting up.

Drinking. Daily at the moment again.

Avoiding Confrontation till I go crazy, then spitting out a bunch of angsty nonsense.

Well, watching a lot of this stuff on TV now.

Really.... awful. I feel for all the hurt people and the families of those who died.

Posted on 07-11-05 06:19 PM, in Applescript Link
I don't know if anybody knows the answer to this, I've been looking on the internet but I'm stuck so far, I haven't found anything.

I'm trying to write a script to have my Mac mount network volumes on start up.

The script I wrote works for that, but I want to have it automatically run. At the moment, when I open the application, it comes up with a dialog asking if I want to run it or not. I just want it to run without the dialog..

Here's what I have so far, I'm guessing I need to add something to it somewhere to make it run automatically.

mount volume "smb://Taryn:password@FILESERVER/Video"
mount volume "smb://Taryn:password@FILESERVER/Music"
mount volume "smb://Taryn:password@FILESERVER/Software"
mount volume "smb://Taryn:password@FILESERVER/Games"

It opens on startup, but it still comes up with that dialog. Does anybody know?

EDIT: Nevermind -- I worked it out. There's a "startup screen" checkbox when saving the file. Stupid....

Damn I wish AppleScript's documentation was a little less weird.

I have three wall scrolls. Two in the hallway -- a Rei Ayanami one and a Chii one, and one in my bedroom, a My Neighbour Totoro one.

Hadn't seen that one, but I had seen a wooden iPod maybe a week ago, that was pretty cool

I don't know if I'll mod my iPod...

Just out of interest, why is it that Newegg won't sell to you guys in Canada? o.o

As for places to get stuff from, I'm really not sure as I don't order my stuff online. I get my things wholesale; so it's a whole different thing (and wholesalers are known to screw you around just as much as it sounds like Tigerdirect are screwing you around...)

You are forgiven for thinking the Whitlams did it, cause their cover was good... at least I forgive you anyways (It was on an album where a lot of artists did covers of Burt Bacarach and uh.. Hal... something... songs -- called "To Hal and Bacharach")

Hmm... long distance relationships are a tricky thing. I've seen some that worked, and some that have failed, and I've had my own failed long distance relationship too. I think both parties need to be very strong willed and steadfast in things, and work to make sure it... works.

I'm not going to advise either way. The decision is up to you, and depends entirely on what you want. Which means you have to think long and hard about what it is you really truly want (nobody else can tell you that).... work out if the long distance thing is going to do that for you or not.... and then work out what needs to be done.

If this is what you want, do what you need to do to make it work, even if it means taking a chance. But only if it's what you want.

As for me and what I wrote before in this thread... I know what it is that I want... problem is I'm too wussy...
