| Oh! I forgot the other thing. Not just practice.... Observation is important too. Look carefully at other people's artwork, watch others draw, observe people/animals/whatever it is you wanna draw, etc. And if you're drawing people, it's probably a good idea to study a little bit of anatomy. I discovered that my former housemates' (medical students) diagram of the muscles in the human body was REALLY helpful when it came to drawing some parts of human anatomy I was having trouble with. The pattern seems to be that things are ok, but awkward and you either... stop talking to each other entirely sometime, OR you decide to start dating other people and jealousy sets in.

* I'm getting a better computer and selling mine to my brother * I'm 90% organised to go into hospital now; all I need is the books. * My bedroom is *tidy* (OMG) All in all, I'm feeling good that I'm nice and organised, and I don't have to worry about the organisation side of going to hospital. Frankly, I don't think America, or Canada, or Australia or wherever has better doctors than any other country necessarily. Nor do I think that any country is worse... I'm sure there's moments of quackery everywhere. |
Well, I don't know much about the Australian health system, but I am grateful for Medicare. I am grateful that somebody like me, with not a hell of a lot of money can go see a doctor, have scans like ultrasounds, see specialists and have surgery without it putting me into thousands of dollars of debt. Without Medicare, frankly my options right now would include: doing nothing, hoping my cyst isn't cancer, hoping my cyst doesn't burst. I don't like them options. With Medicare, I've been able to afford not only identifying the problem in the first place, but getting a second opinion when a public hospital failed to provide proper care. And with Medicare and the public health system, I will get my cyst treated. | |||||||||||||||||||||
