Which just helps one say, America rules, well not really.......

Seriously, though, I think that America is in some rather big trouble a few generations down the line. Although America is still a world power, it seems the growing problem of terrorism will prove difficult to combat without the u.s. adapting to this type of warfare. Oh, and don't forget good ol' fashioned imperialism, which is now becoming more popular with everybody yay yay.

once upon a time I was Areswargod139...then the "unpleseantness" invoving the board happened and I rejoined as Ares. great story. on the protoboard Kawa got in a pissy mood and changed my name to "bakachan" because he didn't think I knew how to use Japanese name suffexes right... my name is actually a touchy subject to me, as it is the same name that I have in all my dealings on the net.

That's right, if you see an "Ares" on viewaskew.com or acmlm (here) or proto or wizards.com or pojo (not bloody likely, friggin sacks o' shitzus) then it is likely to be the wonderful mwa!

Yeah, good job on X-2 and Tactics. Although I personally wouldn't even admit to playing those two sacks o' crap. (ooops. said something blasphemous, my bad, my bad. Back inside little opinion, back inside)

Well, I know that Aspergers' is in my family, and that I exhibit symptoms of it (awkward social skills, obsessions over things (anime! computers!), a tendency to be a nerd) but I also know that some people are just like that too, without Aspergers.

I don't think I have Aspergers, but it wouldn't surprise me either if I were to be diagnosed with it. Like I said, it runs in my family a little (I have cousins with it on my mother's side of the family) and I do exhibit some of the more common symptoms. I don't think I'd really care if I was diagnosed with it either.... it would only give me a name for the weird way I feel, and nothing more.

But I certainly relate to the feelings of social awkwardness and such frequently associated with Aspergers. As long as I remember, I've never been able to work out these "people" things.

Amen Amen. I think many of us "nerds" could definitly say that. I was a complete island when I was young, and more then messed in the head. (think shinji, seriously, shinji from evangelion, that bad) but since I live in the wastland boonies of America, rapid medical detection has never been applied to me, so, I wouldn't have an official diagnosis. which wouldn't matter anyway because I've since overcome all those annoying little tendencies and know am just as boistrous as the next bonebag. conform...one of us, one of us. teeheehee.

Seriously though, one day I got tired of how I was and perpously went about acting in the exact opposite manner I felt like being. (kinda like that one Seinfeld episode) It wasn't easy and I equate today as something akin to "training" than anything else. Over many years and even more fKitten Yiffers and awkward moments, I finally move through many of the barriers that my extremly introverted personality had placed before me. Like 'ol Son Goku, I trained my tail. And although there is most definitly(here's an example of some of my old stuff, I spent that last twenty minutes retyping the word "definatly" because I can't remeber how the ending is spelled, just couldn't take my mind off of it until something that I had shelved in the back of my head "clicked" and made me aware of what I was doing) nothing wrong with people being introverted, whether by a syndrome or not, I am still kind of proud that I was able to change myself in a real way. I'm not done yet, and each day is its own little challanges. Day by day ya' know?

Sometimes helping others can *ahem* help, as it causes a person to sort of "live outside" themselves for a brief while. but your problems will be back at the doorstep waiting for you when you get home. a little knowledge of said problem would help...

I'm posting from the Community college computer classroom right know. While a class is going. While a class that I am not a part of is going on.

The teacher looks at me for a while, but I think he's forgetful enough that he's probably all like "whoah, I don't remember that god of war being apart of this class"

heh heh, everyone's stoopid instead uv me...

I really wish people wouldn't just slag off dubs because they've seen a couple of bad ones. It's this kind of attitude that breeds the elitest anime fans that ruin the scene.

People who complain about subtle differences, such as the controversial End of Evangelion translation, should shut the hell up. Go download some DivXs where the translation describes one thing, and then something completely different happens. We're lucky we have them in English at all, and unless you know Japanese, you're not going to pick up on alot of the extremely subtle hints that can't be emphasised in words.

Hey, as one of those elitist anime/ manga fans, I'm offended! I demand satisfaction. Pistols at dawn!
Seriously though, after about the thirtieth time a fan has had to explain to some noob that the power levels only count towards two sagas in a forty two volume series for the thirtieth time while also trying to explain the RULES OF THE FIGHTING GENRE while they say, "there are rules" or wonderful things like "the only sennins in Naruto are the three" tends to give even the fairest and nicest otakus a case of pissiness compareable to the Comic Book Guy. That's why I have the name that I have even though I'm a staunch passifist. when I get into a flame war with some dipsh** visit pojo.com's boards and watch how fast your head begins smashing itself against the wall in frustration

oh, and um... sub is usually preferable, but some dubs aint so bad...

Warning Warning Danger Danger Cheese alert warning will Robinson!

It would take a matrix type budget and a matrix level of dedication (martial arts experts, critical analysis of the series, making Toriyama get off his design making ass and actually helping, making Toriyama remeber, ect.) to make this thing good. and I'm thinking that instead they'll get some fruity (not that its a bad thing) art school director, no nod or even a glance at the original series, and a budget of ten mill or something. I think this movie would be painful.

but what do I know? I predicted that Spiderman 2 would do badly because they used Doc Ock. I was wrong. very wrong.

Excell Saga in both manga and anime forms (both are rather different in tone) are kick ass series that are instant classics. the problem most people here seem to have is that they didn't watch all of it and didn't quite comprehend all of it. don't mock this kickass series! I swear I'll get the Cartoon Mallet of Justice! I will!

The music, ambiance, battles... The original manga creator did a fine job aswell to put all these parts together. IMO it just fits perfect.
