This is my first post here, and this is why I came here. I had a concern lately. AJAX is seemingly the way of the future for all interactive websites. However, I haven't found one host to start developing besides my local machine - tough luck. This is also the problem with Ruby currently for myself. I want to start developing and keying in on code and start the learning process since in about 2 months, I will be using the above in a wide scale website(details later, i'm still working with venture capitalists to grant me the money to get started.) So, anyone have a AJAX server set up, or know where I can get some hosting for developing mini-scale projects(mainly just testing and playing around on the web, so not only can I see the results, but users can too.)? I haven't programmed in PHP in about a year, and my MySQL skills are almost non-existant. I'm hoping through the course of this time that I get a better understanding of AJAX and RUBY oriented systems. As well as network with a few individuals to maybe outsource some of the home-based database/programming in the future to some likely people here. Thank you. |

I understand. So that's good that I can run it off any server. Currently my team is finalizing our proposal for our business idea/concept before we submit it in about 2 weeks. We're likely to get anywhere from 10000-20000 U.S. dollars to start out project in which we start at the end of December working on it. By june we should have a beta version released. So yeah, we might have to outsource or get some outside developers on these projects - if not just opinions on how to function the site better and offer solutions. Currently however, that is not likely due to a vast amount of programmers/consultants on the team - mainly five 20 year-olds working on the project. All I gotta say as this prorject will be one of the most functional user-interactive systems that will make money. I wrote down your e-mail. If anything arises and we need help, I will let you know. But i'll be around here for as long as I can. Also, I might need the owner of this board in the future to send us a copy of this board(i'm guessing it's freeware?) Since we plan on using a posting board for several components of the site. Thanks for the link, i'm going to set up a domain soon on my mother's hosting account for developers to mess around with. Maybe I could offer some developer webspace to some around here to further develop some ajax and ruby scripting. |
