Hey everyone.

I'm Joe (or Jay, whatever you want to say) and I'm a tad bit new to all this hacking hullabaloo. I've done a few simple things with Super Mario Bros for my first two hacks (not that great, but then again it was only my first two) and now I'm trying to work on pokemon.

So sine I'm new and all, I figured it'd be best to join these messageboards so I could talk to other people who do the same and maybe learn from them. So... hello. :-D

I'm trying to use Elete Map 3.7 to hack pokemon emerald but all of the programs on it either have some runtime error or some sort of overflow error, making it impossible to work on. These errors I get on all of the programs.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

You know, I did move it... I'm not sure where I originally installed it, so I'll try to re-install it.

Thanks

EDIT: I tried re-installing it and then using it from the directory I installed it in but it still doesn't work.

Thanks everyone!
Don't worry, I read the FAQ and I find myself to be a very nice forum-user. No flames or spam from me :-p

Nope, still doesn't work. Let me list the errors for the programs:

Run-time Error 36: Bewildered
Supported ROM, but PokeDex base is unspecified: Dexter
Run-time Error 9: Elite Map
Supported ROM, but graphics offset is unspecified: fonted
Run-time Error 6: PET
Supported ROM, but spirte base is unspecified: spread

And there you go. I hope that helps

So it's not that the Elite Map isn't working, it's just that my ROM can't be edited? Oh, well that's fine I guess; I can just get a different ROM. I'm sure Ruby would work... lots of people here seem to've used that to hack...

Thanks
