| I just found this forum whilst looking throught google's endless lists of everything, while searching for pokemon hacks, because we all know, everything pokemon, except the games, sucked. I browsed for a minute, then looked at the top of the page and saw that this was not only a pokemon rom manipulation forum, but one with many catagories. I quickly made my way to the front page, and said to myself "I have to register here." I am proficitent in macromedia flash, multimedia fusion, photoshop, building DOOM and hexen maps, and created Jaguarstrikes Goddamn Emailer (a anonymous email app), MMC (client for connecting to the materia magica mmo) and Sonic Pong, A pong style game in which you play through 6 levels of increasing difficulty, and eventually face robotnik himself in an all out pong free for all. I also enjoy making animated gifs. I am an active member of ytmnd.com and an inavtive member of totse.com, the temple of the screaming electron. I have dabbled in Sonic rom hacking in the past, and made a few little "toy hacks" as i enjoy calling them, which are things that are nice to look at, but really dont affect the over all game. |

| I recommend using multimedia fusion with the moosock extension. you can even make your own server, so you know what can be done and how to do it, and its easier than you think. | |||

| Okay, i downloaded it a while back, and configured it to work, and it did, but recently reinstalled windows and it wasnt working. Windows was in the defautl config to use the GS Wavetable synth. How do i configure it to work again, i think it had something to do with the add/remove hardware thingy... |

| At the age fo nine, seven years ago (damn, has it been that long) i owned a gameboy color and a copy of pokemon red. I played that game in all my free time. on the bus to school, in class when my work was done (this was before the whole "no electronics in class thing") at lunch... so as soon as i found out that i could duplicate rare candies and masterballs, i was ready to cream my pants. I go to do the missingno trick and all goes according to plan, the 6th item is at about 700. I do it many more times, with nuggets even, used the cash i got to buy coins for a porygon (why do i remember this) but anyway, sometimes i would be surfing for a missingno, and something odd would happen, it would be gary challenging me, only he didnt have the squritle evolution and the diverse, high level team, but an array of glitch pokemon, he even had an 'M' but no missingno in the team. He had 4 glitch pokemon and one eevee (could this be hinting to pokemon yellow?). After battling him, i eventually caught a missingno (big mistake) and screwed up my hall of fame data. A little extra info, in that game, my name was SEANpkmn (with the pk and mn as single characters) and gary's name was BUTTHEAD (hey, i was 8 when i named em!), the version was red, it was on an atomic purple GBC, and i HAD beaten the eliete four. I belevie the gary sprite was glitched a little, but i dont remember, (again, it was 7 years ago.) i have decided to post this now, only after rediscovering pokemon, and finding boards about it, while not finding anything on this glitch. Oh, and btw, if it doesnt have a name already, lets call it the sean glitch. |

| When you take that first shot, you feel your esophagus burst into flames. You can actually feel it worming its way down into your stomach, burning all the way down. When it hits your stomache, your stomache immediatly turns into satans personal hotel room, and he is parting hard. After about 15 min, this feeling suubsides, and your ready for your next shot. Each shot feels progressivley better, but this is just because of the numbing effects of alcohol. This shit is nowhere near beer, it takes A WHILE to kick in, if you have had more than 6 shots, i pity you. You may not be able to walk, speak or see. The next morning, you will be hunched over the toilet bowl, vomiting like an inverted geyser, and dry heaving like a sick cat. PLUS, the shit only costs 25 bucks, enough for 5 people to throw down on, enough to bring 5 people to this crippled state. My closing words: Its so worth it.  |

| I remember when i was a young kid. All i had to worry about whas when the next sesame street was on, and how high i would have to count, and now, i have to worry about when the next time i have to shave will be, and hope my skin doesnt turn red. Im 16 already, and my life has so far gone by fast, and im only gonna be young for what, 10, 15 more years maybe? Im more than 1/4 of the way to 60 already! Im gonna be going off to college in only two more years, then what? A job, Kids, when im about 30 something, then thelly go through college, then ill start aging, eventually we'll all be dead. Never thought it would happen to me. When i was younger, i thought that growing up was done with, adults are the adults, the kids are the kids and nothing is changing... Well i was dead wrong. Now im almost an adult, and my parents, and older freinds tell me it sucks hard. I'll use an example: When you were younger, your parents set up all that stuff for christmas, the tree, the dinner, the decorations, the cookies for santa, the big family dinner, the gifts from "santa" that turn a budget upside-down. But none of that mattered, because santa was magic, and it was christmas time, and now when you get older, you have to make that happen, you will have to turn your budget upside-down for the tree, the lights, that big santa thing on the lawn, and the gifts from "santa", sound pretty bad huh? Get it yet? Then theres working for 40 plus years till retirement, and being too old to get laid unless youre married, i guess it will be fun though, if i make enough money im my lifetime... Older people have a saying "Why is youth always wasted on the young" because you dont know what you have till its gone, well, that is why i write this, most people dont realize they wont be young forever till its too late, so now you realize YOU WONT BE YOUNG FOREVER. So let us all, as teenagers, have crazy adventures, have a good time, get arrested once or twice, and enjoy youth while we can, cause it will be gone faster than it came. Growing up is gonna suck hard, i already figured that one out, but, if there ever was to come a point in my life where there wont be a tomorrow for me, i want to be able to say "Hey, at least i had a good run" instead of "Oh god, i wasted my life" and i hope you want that to. |

| So im making this game in flash, and its coming out pretty well, and i would like to add a sweet pause menu. I added some brightness and color settings, quality control, and even a good looking interface, but one thing i got stuck on was my volume controls. I want to have one for sound effects, one for music, and one for voice overs, now, each of these sound groups are all in their own movie clip, and each sound has its own frame within, but how do i dynamicly manipulate the volume of any sound in flash, let alone each one in the movie clip. I have a feeling it would be onClipEvent(enterframe) { _root.sfx._(something) = _root.sfxslidebar.pos; _root.music._(something) = _root.musicslidebar.pos; _root.voice._(something) = _root.voiceslidebar.pos; } But i dont know what to put in for (something)... Help? |
