| Hello, I'm Dingo, from the UK. Nice to meet you all and join your forums. Oh and i feel a bit shy also lol I am a big fan of the Super Mario Games. Have nto been into gamming much these last few years but have refound my love of playing the Mario games. My favorites being SMB3 on the nes, Yoshi's Island and Super Mario 64. I think it's thanks to the hacking scene and the internet that i have started playing games more. I love some of the hacks for SMW i have played and was really excited when i found out about Luna Magic. Being able to design your own levels (and even redesign the graphics, add new blocks etc) is really great. I am also a newbie to Luna Magic and have started to create some of my own levels. I hope to learn and create more, and to shar it with you in the comming months, weeks years etc lol I won't try to run before I walk as theres a hell of a lot to learn  I am going to stick to desinging my own levels in Luna Magic for teh time being and read and learn for teh time being.Anyway, thats enougth about me, take care all. |

| Level Design on paper anyone? Hi I am a noobie here (so hi to you if you did not see my post in newbies forum )and new to hacking but something I used to do a lot when I was younger was to design my own levels for Mario games on paper. I used to like designing my own levels for SMB1 to 3 and SMW – I found that squared paper useful. Anyway, fast forward a few years to now… I was really quite excited when I discovered Luna Magic (part of me wishes it was around years ago lol) I just had to give it a go. After messing around with it, working out how it all worked I thought it would be a good idea to design a few levels on paper again and then transfer it and improve on them in LM. Dose anyone else take this approach, drawing their ideas for levels? I find it very useful if you are creating maze type levels. I normally draw the ledges, pipes, blocks and possible some enemies etc with just a pen or pencil and a ruler and then use that as a guide when creating my level in LM. I feel its best not to design a whole level like this most of the time (unless it’s a large maze type level in which case its handy) as it can be a waste of time if when you have made your level you find its not very playable! So anybody else find drawing on paper useful or do you think it’s a watse of time or a bit of both? Just thought I would ask and hoping that posting this will help me feel less of a shy newbie too |

| Hi Just thought i would share a few of my faves too.... Material things, Food - i love curry, anything with cheese in it, italian... the list goes on Music Buildings - even ugly ones are sometimes interesting Computers - dont know how i will cope without them at times Softer things Again, cats - they seem popular here with lot of people Friends Nice people - I dont like bullys and those who are unkind for no reason I could go on but i will keep it short with what springs to mind, plus i am shy lol Take care all |

| Thanks for the reply chaps Glad to know i am not the only ne who dose this. I have got some spare time over the weekend and was going fill some of it if the weather bad designing levels (got a few good ideas) but being the lazy person i am at times will probably work out some of the obstables on paper while laying in bed chilling out to some loud music  I also undrestand what you mean about the grey cement blocks VGMatser64 - it dont look as stupid on paper dose it! | Hello again everyone Thanks for your replies - it's nice to know that i was not the only person on this earth who used to draw their own levels Thanks for your input on that.I desingned part of a level on paper the other week - there are things to watc out for tho like the P switches being either blue or silver depending on x location which is easy to forget when working on paper (as i found out!) Oh and btw - I was offline for about a week due to computer problems and have been having trouble getting back onto this site ever since until just trying now. I feel a little shamed lol being a newbie, posting a few times on my first day and then buggering off for about 2 weeks. Was this site down recently or was taht just me? |

| Hello again I was offline for about a week (starting the day after i registerd here) due to computer problems and when i did get back online could not connect here for some reason (not sure why?) anyway tried the site today after finding it in my bookmarks and remembering *oops* So sorry about that. I will try and be around more although I do sometimes spend time away but i do enjoy tinkering with luna magic from tiem to time and these forums are A great place for info and advice.
