I'm not altogether fond of a lot of Ozzy's solo stuff, but Rhoads is one effin' great axeman, that is undeniable. Better than Zakk Wylde.

And so...I went to go see this movie in the theater... A remake of a "classic"? Mmph, whatever. Just went to go see it. It was kinda snazzy...but at the same time it really kinda sucked. Some horror movies (although THIS was more like a comedy) are known for having witty dialog, Dawn of the Dead does not have such. And I could not help but think that the screenplay was very poorly written overall. But...it gave me a good few chuckles and some cool moments. Best part was the quick flash of titties at the credits. Woo!

My avatar is cropped from a concept painting for the PC game Thief II: The Metal Age. This particular robot never made it to the game, but he's effing cool nonetheless. Full image can be viewed here.

My signature? Well, it's CD art for Skinny Puppy's VIVIsectVI, only I edited out stuff and put in the red lettering as well as listed the band members at the bottom. Right below the image are just lyrics from the song "Testure" from that album.

In retrospect, Dawn of the Dead was a really fun movie, and I'd like to go and see it again. Of course I enjoyed it the first time, but I think that a second would have me enjoying it even more.

One image I can't get out of my head is near the beginning, when that woman is driving away from her undead husband (those zombies are FAST, like Crimson Heads in Resident Evil), and he's chasing the car, but then you see him veer off to the side and attack some other woman on her lawn. Ha!

Actually, my vote goes for David Bowie.

Ultimate rock god.

Heroes is such a perfect album.

The N64 Castlevania games rule. There, it's been said. Better 3D Castlevanias than Lament of Innocence, to be honest.

Has a couple cool episodes (probably like the first and second, or maybe I'm only thinking of the first). The rest is boring garbage. Bitchin' soundtrack, though.

Demilich - "Inherited Bowel Levitation - Reduced without Any Effort"

Fuckin' badass metal. The vocalist sounds like a gigantic belching toad sitting atop a lily pad over some horrible swamp in hell.

Skinny Puppy - Blue Serge

Disappointing compared to all that Skinny Puppy had done before. Generic in a number of ways...doesn't have the same layer of detail and menace as all previous material. The Process is a let-down, but here's hoping for the new album (May 25th), The Greater Wrong of the Right. It'll feature both Danny Carey (drums) and Wayne Static (2nd vocals) on the track "Use Less". Hmmmm..... Interesting.....

Your mother cried? I can't imagine crying over a musician's death, unless you, y'know, knew him or her personally.

Nirvana stands as my favorite band of all time. The music still stands out as so much greater than everything coming out now.

Let's see... Great bands and artists that have come out with debut full-length releases starting from present day and dating back to 1994 (Kurt, and Nirvana's, death [obviously it was a suicide, as months prior to that he'd threatened and even attempted suicide a few times]), listing firstly the date for each that their debut came out, and also the year that their latest album was released (some dates may be off):

- The Darkness (2003)
- The Mars Volta (2003)
- SikTh (2003)
- Between the Buried and Me (2002 ; 2003)
- Coheed and Cambria (2002 ; 2003)
- Slick Idiot (2002)
- The Streets (2002)
- dredg (2001 ; 2002)
- ohGr (2001 ; 2003)
- Sleepytime Gorilla Museum (2001)
- Telefon Tel Aviv (2001 ; 2004)
- tweaker (2001 ; 2004)
- Disturbed (2000 ; 2002)
- A Perfect Circle (2000 ; 2003)
- The Dillinger Escape Plan (1999 ; 2000)
- Static-X (1999 ; 2003)
- Air (1998 ; 2004)
- ...and Oceans (1998 ; 2002)
- cEvin Key (1998 ; 2003)
- Cave In (1998 ; 2003)
- Rob Dougan (1998)
- Children of Bodom (1998 or sooner ; 2003)
- Devin Townsend (1997 ; 2003)
- h3llb3nt (1996 ; 2001)
- Psychotica (1996 ; 2003)
- Acumen Nation (1995 ; 2003)
- Botch (1995, I think ; 2000)
- Download (1995 ; 2000)
- haloblack (1995 ; 2004)
- Nile (1995 ; 2002)
- Opeth (1995 ; 2003)
- Strapping Young Lad (1995 ; 2003)
- Rammstein (1994 or 1995 ; 2001)
- Bile (1994 ; 2002)
- Chemlab (1994 ; 2004)
- Cradle of Filth (1994 ; 2003)
- Demilich (1994)

And there are more. All of these are bands that I find to be better than Nirvana (although I do love the album In Utero and would listen to it over, say, Acumen, or APC, Slick Idiot, and Bile, but the rest have put out better albums than In Utero). To say that anything that's come out today is bad (that's not really what you said, but I assume it's what you mean) is just wrong. There's lots of music to be listened to all around. You just gotta find it, and it's actually not that hard to do so. But there's probably tons of unsigned bands and bands on small labels that are real excellent yet don't get heard.

Good music exists today.

Well, he was more than just the vocalist. He was also primary songwriter (wrote most of the songs himself), and played the guitar.

Ooh. I just know they'll portray Samus as a sex symbol, with an unrealistic lanky body. Maybe there'll be a scene where she's out of her suit, and she'll be wearing a SKIN-TIGHT, SKIMPY-AS-CAN-BE swimsuit, and she'll be a-runnin', and she'll trip/fall over, and her tits will pop out of the suit. Yeah, and she'll also be wearing panties. Oooooh, goody.

Star Wars, duh. More specifically, Empire Strikes Back.

Yes, yes, I agree wholeheartedly.

But since each hour-long episode of Farscape is like a movie itself (there are also many 2- and even 3-parts), can I choose that?

The Underworld soundtrack, if just because of the following tracks:

The Dillinger Escape Plan - Baby's First Coffin
David Bowie - Bring Me the Disco King (Loner Mix)
Puscifer - REV 22:20
Skinny Puppy - Optimissed
The Damning Well - Awakening
A Perfect Circle - Judith (Renholder Mix)

It's certainly not the best movie soundtrack, but it is impressive.

You pretty much listed all the album's songs.

But yes, Mike Skinner/The Streets kicks a lot of ass. I love that album.
