It's no more messed than any of the Silent Hill games.

Well, no, actually...in some ways...it is. But an AO rating? Nah. If The Suffering can get by with an M rating and have tons of profanity and talk about baby raping, I don't see why Killer7 can't stick to an M rating.

Jacob's Ladder is such a fantastic movie. When I first saw it, I went into it expecting the wrong things (tons of grotesque and really strong imagery, in which there's only one scene in the movie that resembles Silent Hill). I wasn't sure if I liked it. But then I bought it and enjoyed it a whole lot more. One of my favorite movies now. I love how a lot of the horror is left to your own imagination, and it's freaky to go through what Jacob is experiencing.

The gameplay is very linear. You move by holding down the A button, you can't move in any part of an area that you'd like. You get certain junction points throughout where you get to choose where you wanna go, down another linear path. It's fun though, and the fighting is also neat. Aim, scan, target an enemy's weak point, use different characters to combat different enemies. Also, unique abilities for certain characters that allow you to get past certain obstacles. I enjoy it.

By the way, I got my copy at GameStop for $30, brand new. I got the GameCube version, since it's superior to the PS2 one. For PS2, apparently the game's kind of choppy and the load times are longer, and other crap like that.

Revolution and PS3. That is, when good games are released. I don't even know what's coming out for 'em yet, except new Resident Evil and Silent Hill games will be coming for PS3. Sure, they're coming for Xbox 360 also...but I don't want one of those.

Revolution is supposed to be sold at a considerably lower price than both the PS3 and Xbox 360...so no worries.

Uh, as far as I know, the Grimm brothers didn't write any of the fairytales, they merely collected a bunch of German folklore and published it, popularizing the stories. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

That is to say, they wrote about stories already told. I don't know if they changed any of them.

Anyway, the trailer looked kind of interesting. I don't think I'll go see it, though. I'll wait for it to come to DVD and maybe I'll rent it.

Ha ha... That rocks balls. It reminds me of a cutscene in StarCraft where they're going to blow up some station, and there's a few first-person parts with guns a-blazing. Cool.

Backwards compatibility is a must for me concerning both the Revolution and PS3...since I don't own a GameCube or PS2, my brother does. But I have lots of games for both systems.

Sadly, I've never played through all of Metroid Prime, because my brother's GameCube kept freezing up at certain parts and giving error messages. I kept telling him to get it replaced, but he never got around to it. Finally when he decided he was going to do it, his warranty was over. Argh... So I'd reeeeaaaally like to play through that game, without problem, and also get to playing the second game.

I hope Nintendo releases a device for the Revolution to play all their handheld games. Game Boy, GB Color, GB Advance, Nintendo DS... I hate handhelds. There are DS games I wanna play, but don't want a DS...

OK, so I honestly haven't seen very many musicals, and I like the use of hyperbole.

...because a new edition, the "Don't Call Me Shirley!" Edition, comes out November 15th. This must be why the original DVD isn't being sold anymore.

Late '80s to early '90s? Pffft, it's all about the late '70s/early-mid '80s. The Cure, Joy Division, The Birthday Party, The The, Bauhaus...

I don't know what you mean by "rock," but uh...try out Nine Inch Nails' pre-The Fragile stuff, if you're not too familiar with them. Specifically the Broken EP, since it fits that time frame the best, and it's totally rockin'. Bitchin' guitars, staticy keyboards...lots of angst and energy. Other than that...I guess I really don't know what to suggest. :o I don't listen to much straight-up rock from that period.

Once Upon a Time in the West [Special Collector's Edition]
for $8 new!

Also, I don't think I ever posted that I got this some weeks ago:
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly [Special Edition]

Fantastic movie. FANTASTIC. This being the extended version, with some alterations, but you know...I can deal with them. I thought the new dubbing (for the scenes that were originally taken out of the US version before the dubbing could be done) was done really good. So since I watched this and loved it so much, I want to see more of Sergio Leone's movies, hence Once Upon a Time in the West above.

EDIT: I found out that Once Upon a Time in the West will be playing one night at a nearby movie theater (other movies I wanna see there on the big screen: Army of Darkness, Big Trouble in Little China, Seven Samurai, and John Carpenter's The Thing). Raaaaadical. Sergio Leone's movies are MEANT to be seen on the big screen.

Also bought these DVDs...

Jaws [30th Anniversary Edition]
Toy Story [10th Anniversary Edition]

Both for $10 each. How? Go to circuitcity.com and add any two DVDs priced at $14.99, and the price will be marked down to $20 for both together. Nifty.

EDIT:

Andrew Bird - The Mysterious Production of Eggs

EDIT:

And s'more sheeit

CDs:
Casting Pearls - Casting Pearls (for my good friend's birthday, the girl I wish was my girlfriend)
Relient K - MMHMM (same as above)
The Fall of Troy - Dopplegänger (this one's for me)

DVD:
Memento

Half the time, the special features suck. I'd just be happy with the $5 version found in the DVD Bargain Bin.

Certain newer, "special edition" releases have better transfers, or may have extended footage. You know, cool stuff that matters. Extras, for the most part, I don't care too much about unless it's a movie I really love.

A transfer being the picture quality, the aspect ratio and whether it's anamorphic or not (meaning if it's specifically made for widescreen TVs or not), that kinda thing.

Morgan Webb wasn't ever a model, unless you're talking about the time she was a Gerber baby. However, she's recently done photoshoots for Maxim and FHM, as a "girls of gaming" type of thing.

I think she's an attractive gal, but I don't like the pictures for Maxim and FHM. Those kind of pictures just aren't fitting for her (that and she's not exactly sex model material). I like her cutesiness on X-Play.

Bands I dig that've done it:
Coil, The The, The Birthday Party, Pet Shop Boys, The Cure, Einstuerzende Neubauten, Swans, Chemlab, David Bowie, Gary Numan, Acid Bath, Black Sabbath, At the Gates, Revolting Cocks, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult (I actually don't like them much, but they've done nice-sounding remasters)

Bands I dig that oughta:
Joy Division, Depeche Mode, Bauhaus, The Beatles, Skinny Puppy, Foetus, PIG, Mr. Bungle, Prince, My Bloody Valentine, "Weird Al" Yankovic, Demilich, Emperor
