| Say merc, I suggest you check out Coheed and Cambria. Musically they're kind of a blend of pop punk and metal, plus some progressive qualities, and the vocalist is very similar to The Mars Volta's. For $10, you could pick up their newest album, In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 at Target or possibly Best Buy too, and it comes with a free DVD of an interview of sorts and some neato music videos (one of which is an alternate take which is insanely funny, and I shall share no more). Hell, I suggest this album to anyone. | |||

| Garfield sucks. Really...he does. Back in the '80s, Davis had some real funny material, but ever since somewhere early in the '90s, he's sacrificed hilarity for better looking art. (Garfield used to be very crude looking.) Nothing, and I mean nothing, is funny about Garfield. And that cartoon show? Why was it even made? Worse than Heathcliff. This movie...from the trailer I'd seen, it looks awful. Big, disgusting CGI cat...with nothing humorous to say...and an Odie that's a real dog, instead of another cartoony CGI character? Blecht. |

| I just listened to the song and it is not death metal. It's certainly a bit intense, but if anything it kind of makes me think of a cross-between Ministry's industrial metal and Atari Teenage Riot's electro hardcore. If you wanna get an idea of what death metal sounds like...then I'd suggest "The Blessed Dead" by Nile, the first song from In Their Darkened Shrines. |

| I've been at Acmlm's since late 2000 (if not then, then no later than Q1 2001), but I'm not exactly a regular. Well, I am at the Entertainment forum...spouting my nonsense about music and occasionally something else. Nobody on this board really knows about me, 'cept for the few people that do frequent the same forum, but even there the only one I really kinda know and associate with is Ziff. If I dropped off this board for a long, long time, nobody but a few would notice, and maybe one or two would care. So I'm really no "oldbie," yet nor am I a newbie... Actually, I tend to recall an ezboard Acmlm's, and I think I posted there. I've been around since the start of the Acmlm system, I believe. All I recall is Acmlm himself coming to the board I was frequenting (The Castlevania Dungeon), and posting a few times...and he had the link to his board in his sig. So I checked it out... | All I can say is...being doped up on antidepressants was a terrible thing to have done to me as a junior higher. Fuck that stuff. | I can't remember. I was on a couple. Or maybe just one? I was on Paxil for sure. What a pussy drug. Eventually they boosted my prescription to 20 mg or higher. 40? Can't recall. I think I was supposed to take 'em twice a day or something. Anyway... The stuff made me drousy, and really messed my head up. Eventually I threw that garbage in the trash. Same with all my other medications. I started feeling better afterward, yet during the whole time I was taking the drug, I felt like it was making me better. :\ My way of fighting depression is smiling and laughing a lot, hanging out with good, fun people. It helps. Or even when I don't see people, I try to enjoy something. It's funny sometimes when I get depressed...'cos I won't know what has gotten me feeling that way, so then I'll stop and think and retrace my thoughts, and I usually come to what made me feel down, and it'd be something kind of hopeless but also real silly as to why it brought me down, so I'd shrug it off, chuckle, and feel much better. | I never even thought of those graveyard pots as saying anything offensive. Always sounded like "Thank you," but in a ghoulish British voice, and that's exactly what it is. By the way...I have sooooo much love for that game. Only games I've played as much as it are probably Super Mario Kart, GoldenEye, Thief, Castlevania IV, and a few others, I'm sure. Ahhhh.... What a lovely game. Too bad its sequel sucked, and so did Donkey Kong 64. |
