Alright... I have recently broken my ankle. My girlfriend, yes, I am a girl too... But my girlfriend doesn't seem to want to have anything to do with me now. I used to drive us places and stuff... But now that my ankle is broken, I cannot drive. I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like I'm seeing less and less of her. I try calling her... She is really short with me on the phone. Whenever I ask if she wants to come over and visit me, she always has some reason why she can't. My friend saw her at the mall, and got some pics on his cameraphone of my girl hugging another girl. I don't know if he was showing me those pictures out of context, or if she is cheating on me... But, I feel used and abandoned nonetheless. And help on what I should do would be appreciated. |

I agree exactly on the whole photo thing. As far as I know, he could have taken the shot way out of context. It could have been one of her friends. I don't know. But the reason I am so upset by this, is I feel like she was just using me for transportation... Now that my ankle is broken, I cannot drive, and thus, I see less of her. That's why I feel used. |

I celebrate my birthdays with a family gathering... My grandmother and my uncles fly over from the UK... we usually do something "american"... I get to have whatever I want for dinner... Tacos and Pizza... yum! Then, I get checks from my family and go shopping. I don't ask for anything from friends, just that if they do want to give me something for my birthday, just lend me their company. |
Other than that... it's pretty much just another day gone by on my "Calendar O Life"Kat.

Yes, if she feels the same way about you, that you do about her, this whole moving thing is probably tearing her up inside. That's what happened with me. I had a guy back in the UK... I was 11 when I started "hanging out" with him... It wasn't really dating. But, things were, we were getting more and more into each other. Oh, he was 14 when we started dating. Well, almost 3 years later, and we are still dating. Then, my mum and dad pop onto me that we are moving from our flat in London to Peoria, Illinois. I was crushed. I pretty much ran out of the house, and over to him. I told him what was happening. He said, it's ok... He told me that he wasn't going to be angry with me, because, I was a young girl, there was nothing I could do to make this stop from happening. But, it seems in my memories, all we did for our last week together was kiss and kiss and kiss. I miss him so much, a first love is always a terrible thing to lose and try and get over. But, I was happy that he admitted to me, that I probably wouldn't be coming back, and there was probably going to be no way to make a real relationship work. |
----- But, you said that your girl is coming back? It most likely, won't be the same as it is now when she does return. She will have grown up more, matured more... Same will go for you. And 3 years time is a long time in the realm of girls and boys. I'm not saying it's impossible for you two to stay together. In fact, if you guys are into each other as much as you say you are, then it will probably work. I hope it does . It's hard to love someone, and then have no control over losing her. I know exactly how that feels right now. :s... ------ The thing is though, you have to accept it if things do change. One of the hardest things for me was, over summer break, I go and spend 15 days with my family in London. I used to go see him every time I was there. I'd run as fast as I could, as soon as I could to his house, and we would embrace and fall in love all over again every summer for about 4 years. The summer before I turned 18 though, I went over, and I got to his house and another woman answered the door. I knew as soon as she did, that things were over between him and I forever. I wanted to cry, but, I stayed there. I told him I was happy for him... (Apparently, they got engaged, and married that fall). But, sometimes the L/D relationships do work. I wish you the best of luck. ----------- Also, you mentioned something about not being able to stay in contact much... Well, if she is going to a military base, all of them have Internet ready connections at them, she could always email you. Or you could even show her the board here? Well, I'm running out of ideas.... I wish you two the best of luck and I hope everything works out for you guys. kAt

Everytime I call her though, to ask her to come over and talk to me in person... She's always got a reason why she can't. And, she never talks to me on the phone... She'll have her mother tell me she isn't home, when I can hear her in the background... Oh, and I found out that she was on a date with that girl from the picture. |
I don't know... I'm heartbroken now.

I think... She likes you. She is just young, and doesn't want to commit right away. She probably doesn't... "love" you, she just has strong feelings for you. If she did "love" you, then she wouldn't want everything to be put on hold. I'm not saying that it's not possible for her to "love" you, just rather unlikely. My advice... You are in college, she's still in high school. You should find a girl that you can have a future with at college, that seems to be what you are looking for, a future. I know that the relationship I have with my girlfriend was once like what you are going through. It didn't work out for us. Best of luck to you MHL. |

She came over, I told her how I felt. About the car thing... Her response was, "It was nice being able to get out with you, and now that you can't drive, we can't have the fun we used to have."
