Normally, I'd say you found a bug in FCEU. Knowing it, however, I'd say you found a bug in every other emulator.  You might have a corrupt ROM. |

Really, any format that contains strings can be exploited if the program doesn't check its buffers (which Windoze does pretty rarely), and a lot of them do for headers and such. (edited by HyperHacker on 10-12-04 05:27 AM)

Any idea what version they used though? There's V1.0, V1.1 and V1.2 USA, Japanese, and probably UK too. BTW yes, that's the spirit temple, but some of the pillars are falling.  Oh, by the way: 01 or 20 is a better byte pattern to use than random when corrupting; It's reproducible and will generally produce noticeable results. (Say you used 00 and wiped out the graphics, you don't know if you changed them or just screwed up the code. With a value that doesn't just produce a blank tile, you know.) Same here, I can't stand not having music in the background. I don't have any problem concentrating; I just kinda tune out the music. Sometimes it gets to the point where I don't even really notice it, it's just not silent. |
