| The problem is that you have too much rap. Wipe the directory and replace it with techno, stat! ...Or check the filename, maybe rename it. Some unprintable characters might have got in somehow. |

| I also have lsass.exe doing pretty much constant writes to the HD (the light doesn't come on, but the IO Writes and IO Write Bytes keep going up), but I don't have that folder. Perhaps the program's bugged out? I know you can't kill the task in the Windoze task manager, but try it in DOS's (tasklist and taskkill). Hmm, Google doesn't mention the folder at all... |

| My guess is that you accidentally hit some key combo that threw in an invisible character. Just renaming it to the same thing would get rid of it. Personally I can't stand rap, but that's off topic.  May as well close this, actually. |

| That's a pretty damn good theory. I have a similar one, actually. I wish I would get more of those, and not always wake up. When I do, it's always close to when I'd normally wake up, so I figure it's just the logic area waking up early. I have had flying dreams, which were quite sweet even if I couldn't control them. (The most memorable, I believe I did know was a dream, but didn't realize what that actually meant.) |

I once dreamed that I was in a big hotel room (similar to a house I used to live in) with some of the admins here. There were 3 of them, I think Colleen and Yiffy Kitten were two and I don't remember the third. (Why those two? Beats me. ) I don't know what they actually looked like, but the room was two floors, with a hot tub, and made of solid gold. I was going to use the hot tub but it was full of gold coins.  Nobody seemed to notice (maybe we were all billionares ), we just browsed the board, each on our own computers. Eventually, someone (not sure who) told me, since I was the only one downstairs, that dinner was ready. I called to the rest of the guys, but they didn't hear me, so I messaged them with Net Send. Yeah, I was trying to do that, but then I'd need to nuke the entire right side or have a really tiny text field. Then not only would it be crowded, but I'd have to get rid of the links. I thought I should make a separate poll for this, instead of just a thread that's not specifically about this question. (I put it here so more people will see it, and because it's not as much about art.) To sum it up, if I leave it the way it is, it adds up to 201K of images. If I take out the images to the right, it's only 98K but then there's a big empty spot on higher resolutions that looks ugly. So I'm wondering if people think it's worth the extra bandwidth to keep those space-filler images, if they can live with a big empty spot for the much smaller size, if even that's too big, or if anyone has other suggestions (in particular how to make the images smaller - I've tried JPG and PNG). BTW the empty blue spot to the right of the links is actually a cell with a solid BG colour, not an image. |

 I'd like to find a better way to fix it, but I'm not seeing much in options... Would it look crappy if I changed that portion of the BG to solid water and made it a really thin image?

Sounds like "Lappy 4015" is pretty sad already. Why would you even have layouts enabled with such a slow system? (BTW, someone who uses a font that he knows doesn't work in Mozilla, which isn't exactly some obscure POS that nobody uses, isn't really in a position to be complaining about the size of the images people use. |

There's no GIFs in this picture other than Shippo. The Inuyasha logo is part of the top, which is a poorly-encoded JPEG. Making it a better quality would make it bigger, and it's big enough.
Sure, it'd be great if every browser on every system had every font and drew them at the exact same size. In the real world, things don't work like that, and if I used text, it would more than likely break/look ugly in a lot of cases. Plus, I'd need to use some sort of crazy div setup to get the text in the right place.
It was good enough for Nintendo's quality control in one of the best games ever (Yoshi's Island, if you can't tell), and I don't see any problems myself.
Yeah, it would be nice if things worked like that. I have a slow connection, so nobody should be allowed to use big images. Too bad the world isn't like that, and just because your computer sucks doesn't mean people are going to strip everything down to meet its specifications.

Well I found out that the Scrollbar objects in VB can only have values from 0-32767. I need one that goes 0-65535, how can I do that? |
