My Gamecube controller's doing stuff like that.  The joystick likes to go nuts making it very hard to type.Speaking of Gamecube, ever see one of them on low power? It just keeps switching on and off really fast.  |

This is an idea I had, that I'll probably try sometime. (I already posted this once, but since IE's stupid, it got screwed up.  -TV Tuner Card -TV Out Card -DVD-ROM -Very big HD -Wireless HD/Mouse -Infrared port, located at front -Decent sound card w/ line in -CD-ROM -AM/FM Tuner Card, if you ever use the radio With some custom software you could program it to respond to IR signals from a remote you have around. There you have it, an ultimate home theater system. What I'd really like to do, though, is somehow rig up an old VCR to it too.  |

| -Change the bunny to Mario or a chicken. -Make chickens do something vitally important. -More rain. That was cool. -Add an underwater level and make the red/green tunics and iron boots from OoT. Maybe even a yellow/gold tunic that combines their effects. -Instead of light/dark world, make 4 different time periods. A real SMB3 editor that runs in a window and can be resized?  If this is a dream, don't wake me up!About the graphics: If you need help loading the GFX/Palettes, I have VB code for it. It's actually for Gameboy, but the format's pretty similar. [edit] BTW, for the built-in emulator: Include an old version of FCEU or a similar NES emulator (something with a nice small interface that works well) and have it load the ROM, then use API functions to tweak its memory. Find the game's RAM and force it to load a specific message. (Maybe you can include a save state of the level about to be loaded, then have the emu load the state, and the game load the level. Yes, it's possible. Just don't depend on the user to supply the emu, because with each new version you'll need to re-find the offsets.) (edited by HyperHacker on 07-21-04 10:54 PM) |

| Y'know, I was thinking a while ago... Each game uses its own music program, and the reason you can't just copy and paste music is because each program uses its own format, right? So why not just load different programs? If you want music from game A, load the program for it. For B, switch to another program. Of course it'd take ASM hacking (and you'd prolly have to hack the programs to allow new ones to be loaded) but it makes sense to me. |
