BTW I figured out why my desktop kept disappearing. TightVNC's 'Remove wallpaper on connect' option doesn't always put it back.  And I found a better pic; I'll post it when I get home.

Sounds like an HDMA issue. You might get some slightly distorted graphics by turning HDMA off. |

Instead of LDA #$00, STA xxxx, you can do STZ xxxx. Won't fix this, but it makes the code smaller. |

First you need a webhost. If you only need something simple and don't mind ads you can get free ones like Geocities. Most free hosts suck though. Ad-free hosts can be pretty damn cheap if you're willing to pay. Also, your ISP probably provides some hosting space. Next, you need to either learn HTML or get an editor such as DreamWeaver. Using HTML is recommended as it's pretty simple, doesn't require any expensive tools (just Notepad/vi/whatever text editor your OS has will do), and gives you full control over the page design (plus from there you can move to more advanced things like PHP or ASP with little hassle), but if you have codeaphobia, an editor might be a good way to go. Some hosts also have template pages, but a lot of them suck. As far as hosting from your own computer: you can, but it means having a particularly fast connection and a static IP, and being connected to the Internet 24/7. Plus, running a server on the computer you use for everything else can cause a noticable performance hit if your page is particularly popular, and if you're running Windows, it's also a notable security risk. Plus, most ISPs don't allow it... easy enough to work around, but you won't want to get caught...

You could add a field to the poll table defining whether to list them or not, but that'd mean adding a DB field (which already kills the idea) and adding a checkbox for staff to select whether it gets listed. |

It's probably blurry because TVs aren't as sharp as computer monitors. As for the videos, most video players use some kinda hardware trick to draw the image. Look for a 'disable overlay' option or similar. |
