| Sure, but don't expect it to be done anytime soon. And vertical taskbars pwn. BTW, small problem opening files. wallpapers.ini is in C:\Windows, but fopen("wallpapers.ini","rt"); doesn't work (unless the program is actually in C:\Windows). I have to do fopen("c:\\windows\\wallpapers.ini","rt");. C:\Windows is in the system path, though, so shouldn't it look there when it can't find the file? |

| Say, what's development like on Mac anyway? Is it particularly difficult? If I can develop/port versions of programs I use, I'd probably consider switching. (Except that I don't have the money, but I plan to buy a laptop eventually; maybe I could get a Powerbook or something.) And how's its command line? Powerful? Simple? Nonexistant? The most common reasons I hear of are lack of spare time, the ROM being destroyed, or they just didn't feel like doing it anymore. Me, I just put them on hold until I have free time (no matter how long it may take) and make backups.  |

), and the highest I've seen is $1.349/L. Supposedly tomorrow it'll be anywhere from $2.009/L to $2.509/L depending how much damage occurrs, since offshore oil rigs are being evacuated and such.  Why don't they just admit there's no oil left and start making electric cars?

I often use it to check the name of a thread (if I get linked to one and don't get a chance to see its name), or to see what page is open in a tab. Now I have to actually scroll back and forth and switch tabs.Also, my board-layout-customizing Proxomitron script depends on it.

I dunno why but I've never managed to get these to connect to eachother. Right now I've got this computer (XP) with 2 network cards, one connected to the cable modem and the other connected to the other computer (98); no router or switch or anything, just directly connected. (I checked that it's the right type of cable, tried another, etc.) Either computer can connect to the Internet if the modem is connected directly to it. On the XP system, only one card will do this; the other never powers up and reports that it's unplugged. This would seem to indicate that it doesn't work, but that's not all. If I connect the 98 system to the card that does work, the cards stil won't power up. It just keeps saying the cables are unplugged. I've tried pretty much every option; the only thing I haven't done is making this a domain controller and having the other one log into it, because I can't. Any time I try to set this one's domain it starts looking for a domain controller. There doesn't seem to be any way to make it one. |
 I've tried putting them both on the same workgroup, using all different kinds of connections, etc; they won't even connect through the parallel port (they don't see eachother).

Ah, yes, one of the most common reasons for someone to lose interest is that they come to a part that's a real pain in the ass. The same reason I tend to lose interest in programs every now and then, because I get to the point where I have to design a window, and every window designing program ever made sucks. |
