You can post it, just give credit where due. I imagine most people will agree with this idea.

Re-read his post. It's 2.9, not 24.Originally posted by MouseJstr Why give them back? Keep them saved up for any other board-related expenses you may encounter. You never know when a hard disk will fail or something. |

I don't watch much TV, for 2 reasons: 1) 90% of shows today suck. Gross != funny! Commercials are no help either. 2) I hate not doing something productive. I do watch some particularly good shows like Futurama, but for the most part I do stuff on the computer instead. TVs in other rooms make good background noise, though (but I usually just play music... anything as long as it's not silent). |

Or just have your code go through the sprite tables and count all the sprites. Not recommended for a constant loop, but in a custom block it'd work fine.

Pure awesome. Changing the message mid-level would be especially nice. No need to even modify the level number, just have your code copy the message to RAM so that it can be changed on the fly. Even add a disable flag so that it doesn't load the new name when you change level. (Say you wanted a self-destruct timer, like you mentioned, it'd be no good if the timer disappeared when you changed rooms. ) This'd be good for people making retro-style hacks too, if your hack allows for the text to be placed anywhere on the scorebar. Just name all the levels like "1-1", "1-2" and so on, and put the word 'WORLD' above it as static tiles. |

Why would I need a Micro when my DS does the same thing and is cooler? And there should be a "hell no" kind of option... All the answers are either yes, no because you already have a DS/SP/GBA, or yes but not right now. Originally posted by Snika That reminds me of a quote: "He was as tall as a 5 foot 4 inch tree." |

Hey, you gave me an idea. Use one of those old-style trays, and have the player push it back in manually. That way it won't close when the disc isn't in right and wreck it. Also, an advantage to top-loaders: You can remove the disc without turning it on. |

Ah, well I might try it again. Though it's a big download, and I generally use up all my bandwidth downloading animé. |

Yes, but that's because PearPC is a PPC-on-x86 emulator. That means for every PPC instruction it has to perform several (probably dozens or even hundreds) x86 instructions. With the new Macs being x86, we could use an x86-on-x86 emulator, which would be a hell of a lot faster because no interpretation is necessary (the CPU can execute the programs directly, only memory access and I/O need to be changed). |

I set my desktop wallpaper to a nice JPEG stretched to fill the screen, and it shows up fine. But later, when I view the desktop again, there's just the standard blue background. Going into display properties shows the wallpaper, and clicking OK puts it back, but it keeps disappearing. |

Open source only works if it's popular. The idea is that there will be more people finding the exploits and fixing/reporting them than people finding them and abusing them. Clearly not the case here, which has a lot to do with the small userbase. Most people who find exploits aren't even using it themselves. Also, it tends to take the admins quite a while to fix an exploit around here sometimes. |
Though most exploit abuse has been done by Xk and that one guy who was trying to frame Tamarin. |
