| Well just take a look at the controller mapping. It's exactly the same as NES, with an added second register to tell when L or R are pressed and to tell X/A and Y/B apart. | |||

I think what they mean is the games aren't designed to take advantage of S-Video, so they wouldn't really look any better, and to add compatibility would cost too much. Really, isn't A/V good enough for NES?  |

| If you're using XP, you can go to the Search tool (hit F3 in Explorer) and search for files matching *.* that contain some piece of text that you know would be in such a file. It'll take a while but it'll find it. (And you can reduce search time considerably if you reduce the amount of places you search; eg if you're looking for something in My Documents, you need only search that specific directory.) | |||

A good online tutorial shouldn't be confusing, if you look around you're bound to find one that really helps. But a class would do you a hell of a lot better, and then you have something you can put on a resumé.  |

| Well when this happens I usually go through the code with a fine-tooth comb. Check for mixed up variables, and add a lot of print/echo statements in the related code to report what the variables are and what each function returns. It can be a bit of a pain to do but it should tell you what the problem is pretty quick. | |||

| It means that by visiting a webpage you could have a program downloaded and executed without your knowledge. FreeDOS, it probably would work in Linux, but nobody's going to bother writing exploit code for it. Leg, yeah, I forgot about that auto-update. I was teh sleepy.  |

| Pfft, no it wouldn't. They'd see a video game reference and suspend you for a week or two. And every school has that rule. Just some schools/teachers enforce their policies better than others. For the most part nobody at my school cares what you do on the computers, but try to use the ones in the library...  That librarian is a total computer nazi. She's secretly installed spy programs on all the computers (well not very secretly; whenever she restarts it the logo appears on all the screens) and loves to just stand behind people and stare at the screen for no reason.
