I burned my finger on a soldering iron once... Must have been frickin hot because after a second, the pain went away and the spot turned white. Wasn't permenant though. (Also, baked flesh smells horrible.  )Then there was the totally nasty sunburn a few weeks ago. Couldn't bend my legs for a few days afterward. Check out the sandal tan.  Then like a week later my arms and legs started peeling like hell. I must have peeled off a pound's worth.  So yeah, burns suck. (edited by HyperHacker on 07-10-05 04:28 PM) |

Well, what I do when I need to rip something that doesn't want to be ripped is I hack it. For example, take my old Yoshi's Island layouts. As you may know, ripping sprites from YI is difficult because it uses a gradient background, and ripping backgrounds is hard because they're big and you don't often get the opportunity to scroll around freely and see all of them. So I just opened up EggVine and made a level with the background I wanted, a solid BG colour and some cleverly-placed platforms so I could see it all, shut off the layers and ripped away.  In your case, you might try deleting background graphics or something so you have a nice solid colour around your sprites. |

I think Win98 has problems with having 512MB or more RAM. The hard drives shouldn't be a big issue (if your power supply can handle it) but keep in mind that each IDE channel runs at the speed of the slowest drive. I'd put the 2 fastest ones on one channel, the bigger of the other 2 on the other channel and a CD-ROM instead of the last one.  |

| A good burner should have no problem but you might want to let it cool down every hour or so. I recommend CDRWs for backup, though. And for that matter anything that doesn't need to be permenant and won't be used in older drives. |
