Neither of those did anything for me, except Space/Shift+Space. There's a registry hack that lets you cause a BSOD with a certain key combo though.  Alt+F4 is fun too. Spoiler: It closes the current window. |

| I remember activating that 1-1 glitch by going through a door in 4-4(?) with a Gameshark on in the GBA version. I think I did it on the SNES version from that one maze level too. It's neat because you need only finish 1-1 and you get credit for the level you started on. |

Bah, I can't get this to work either. I don't have a crossover cable to connect them (unless I sacrifice my Interweb connection) at the moment but I've been trying to get it to connect to the cable modem. The connection wizard is of course useless. I tell it I want to connect through a LAN and it says it's done and opens IE to a 404. |
 None of the NIC drivers contain information about the hardware. 192.168.0.1 is unreachable and the installer only opens a folder with about 50 different subfolders with random numbers for names, each containing an unlicensed Winzip self-extractor which dumps 20MB of useless drivers onto my HD. Windows says there's a problem with the card and has no idea what, just an 'error 1F6'.

I have some RAM that's too fast for my computer, but when I put it in it just doesn't work. It runs, but the memory gets corrupted and so there's junk on the screen and Windows won't start. |

It's actually very frustrating as it's caused me to fail one English class (and lose a decent chunk of my mark in another). They keep talking about things like a picture's outline 'pointing' to something, or certain colour combinations having some effect, but I just don't see it. Advertisements really don't affect my desire to purchase (or not) a product at all, it's all about the cold hard facts. (Though that does include my own opinion of the product. I'd rather buy brand name pop, even though going by numbers alone I'd save money with cheaper brands, because it tastes better. Ads for either brand don't influence my opinion, though.)Of course, I'm generally reluctant to buy anything from a company whose ads just plain suck (as in they're disgusting, really misleading, or just plain wrong; you'll never see me buying a bottle of Frank's Red Hot Sauce, for example), and a really cool or clever ad is a bonus. Only the extremes, though.

There must be some focus issue I'm missing here.Also how do I create an invisible brush? A pen I can do but MSDN doesn't seem to have any such information on brushes. I'm trying to draw a dashed line, so I created a dashed pen for it, but in between the dashes it draws white where I don't want it to draw at all. I assume it's using the default brush for this...

It's certainly possible (I imagine you'd want to use DirectInput or something similar) but you'd need to develop (or buy) some damn good voice recognition software. If you can make a program that can accurately understand human speech, you'll be one rich SOB, because most suck at it. |
