Say... People hacked the DS firmware to bypass RSA checks with wireless play. Couldn't they hack it to do the same for carts? That would at least let you make some sort of flash cart without having to encrypt the ROMs. ...Come to think of it, I'm no expert but shouldn't cracking it be a simple matter of disassembling and/or hacking the firmware? |

You could probably hack one's source pretty easily to support Unicode table files. I have no idea how to actually draw Japanese text with the API though. Tip: Unicode text files begin with the byte sequence 0xFF, 0xFE. (edited by HyperHacker on 05-29-05 01:55 PM) |

Well, if anyone here knows anything about N64 pointers, we could start trying Mario Kart 64.

2D games had 3 simple sources of difficulty that are very difficult to do in 3D: -You either go over, under or through enemies. None of this walking around them crap. -More enemies, because it barely takes any more processing power to add 4 more animated tiles as opposed to a full 3D model. -Much less space to move! |

Yep, R/S keep backups because their save hardware uses so goddamn much juice. Red doesn't though.

64D. There were 61 missing from the so-called Mario "64". I want it done right this time.

It's possible, but difficult, to 'add' netplay via an AR. Basically it just does the same thing as an emulator would. Problem is, one nanosecond of lag and you're screwed.

I dunno why but it seems to randomly return 0. I'm trying to find the difference between the current time and a date in the past, by subtracting the timestamps, but all I end up with is either the current date or the one I'm comparing it to. The code is simple enough: |
$time = time(); If I print $time - 552899100 (or the best-named-variable ever ) I get -552899100 meaning $time = 0, but if I print just $time in the same piece of code I get the current timestamp. WTF.

Originally posted by tfc That's just simple code hacks. I'm talking about actually editing tracks and graphics (and maybe sound ). True, MK64 was kinda boring, but imagine how awesome it could be with custom tracks and some reprogramming? |
