Using programs like Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy. You should scan with those every now and then. Anyway... |

Huh, that's odd... They don't look backward, and reversing them didn't help, but using RGB fixed it. AdjustWindowRectEx, however, isn't doing much of anything, which might be because for some reason 'you cannot specify the WS_OVERLAPPED style'. |

Thanks! If you don't mind I'm just going to copy that right in there. |
[edit] Bah! Maybe there's something screwy with my computer or something. It's doing exactly the same as AdjustWindowRectEx() did. (edited by R2H2 on 04-30-05 12:42 PM)

I had to get like 6 just recently because I had an 'on-again, off-again' habit about brushing and drank tons of pop. It doesn't really hurt (besides the needle), the akward part is when they pry your mouth open and keep it wide open for like half an hour, and when you have to swallow or when drool splashes everywhere (hit my legs a few times ). Then you tend to end up biting your lip without noticing it and making it swell up if you don't know any better, and then when you think the numbness has worn off but it hasn't quite, and you find yourself unable to blow on things or drink through a straw even though you can feel again. |
It really isn't as bad as people say though. It's not pleasant at all, but it's nowhere near the typical "AAAAAH OH GOD THE PAIN" you generally hear about. (Maybe this is coming from people who had it done back before they had anisthetic? ) (restricted) | (restricted) | (restricted) |

Meep. Anyone for a mass DDoS on that IP? |
On an unrelated note, TMCNet has a big ugly ad transition page, not to mention non-working (or just plain no) line breaks, and therefore sucks. (And interesting how it appears they tried to rip off Cnet. ) They even link to the page that supposedly gives you the virus without a warning. (I just get a 403 though. Seeing how I'm using Firefox and know a thing or two about not downloading and running random .COM files, I figured what the hell. ) BTW, Kyouji's right. Trillian's nice in that it protects you from these, but otherwise, it's utter crap. Problem is, the other clients are even crappier. I can't DC to a lot of people unless I'm the one to start the connection, and some people simply cannot send or recieve files to/from me. The real problem, though, is the 325786578659872 window bugs, because they're "too good" for standard windows.

Not much that I can think of really. I don't swear as much and I've certainly gotten smarter (anyone remember my hack for Super Mario Land to set a different time limit for every level? ) but that's about it. |

Eri? Heh, 3/4 of my name. (Or 2/3 in Japanese. ) [Insert Japanese translation of 'Happy Birthday' here.] |

That's the idea. Give a speaker a 2000hz AC current, and it makes a 2000hz tone. |
Also, the red ones still work on those old solid black phones. The new digital ones just block the sound.

Yes, you need to nuke \Windows\svchost.exe. The real svchost is in \WIndows\System32. Of course that's just from what Kyouji said... It could very well have random names or something nasty like that. |

It is annoying when someone bumps a 4-month-old thread and you see posts you don't remember making and people who left ages ago. Not really horrible though. Auto-closing threads wouldn't work so well though, because some forums' bump tolerance is higher than others, and in some cases there might be a good reason. For example, like Surlent said, someone might want to reply to a thread in HW/SW about a problem they're having rather than starting another thread about it. (Hence why I usually leave those open.) Or of course, ROM Hacking threads with good info might stand to be bumped if someone has an addition or correction rather than trying to copy all the information into a new thread or just plain ignoring it. And a month's bump in a less active forum like Super Mario isn't really a bad thing, whereas in say General Chat you'd probably get yelled at. |
I do like the warning idea though. Just stick a little warning at the top of the new reply page if the thread is old. (Or at the very least, change the post dates to show how long ago a post was made, like "Posted on 31/11/1958 (4 score and 7 years ago)" or something along those lines.) Yes, and for that matter, whatever happened to the confirm box when you click Delete in a message? It's there on the message list, but not the message itself. |
