Mine is too expensive and therefore still sitting on a shelf at Walmart. Seriously though, the only reason I'd really consider buying one is that it can play MP3s and movies, and DS will be able to do that soon enough anyway. Nintendo might not make anything to do it with but eventually there'll be flash carts. DS is better designed for that too; you can sit it on a table and open it 90 degrees. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Why do people always conveniently forget how to do the coolest glitches? I found the 'shrink your character' code in Mario Kart, but I had no idea how I did it. I thought the game had gone looney. Also a little Pok |

Nice! The blackish water with the dark brown everything else in the last one makes it look evil. And yay, runaway fire! |

Ah, yes, I hadn't thought about the effects of this on LM... A lot of editors suffer from similar problems thanks to a really stupid Windows bug: It's possible to move the mouse to just the right spot at the left edge of a window, that it's interpreted as X coordinate -1 (or if you're using unsigned, which most things do, 65535). This also crashes TrackDES. Stupid bug but simple enough to fix: Add checking to make sure the X coord is >=0 and/or <65535. |

And then there's this awesome Windows feature. Harmless in of itself (except that it might be possible to muck things up on a non-layer-2 level ) but there could be other places where this bug could cause problems. |
Jeez, at this rate we'll have found enough tiny little bugs to warrant a new release alongside the Playstation 12. (edited by R2H2 on 04-20-05 10:55 AM) (edited by R2H2 on 04-20-05 10:55 AM)

My policy has always been get permission from the author and put them in the credits. In the case of rips, I can't very well contact the authors (and for legal reasons, they'd probably have to say no even if they were alright with it) so I would just go straight to putting Nintendo in the credits under Graphic Design or some such. The person who ripped them might go in as well if they're particularly difficult, but really, if it's easy to rip I'll just do it myself. |

Search for 3031323334, IIRC, that's the tile arrangement for the 'MARIO' text. |

MS sure loves to make these things a pain don't they? I made some partitions on my 232GB HD, including a 5GB NTFS one and 3 others. The plan is to install XP and Gentoo on it. I decided to go with XP first because its installer apparently likes to wreck Linux partitions ()... No go, of course. Despite that this install (on another disk) can see them all just fine, the installer only sees a single 127GB partition (not to mention thinking that's the entire disk's size) and can't tell what it is. (The only thing close to that is a 217GB NTFS partition...) Deleting the NTFS partition in hopes that the installer would see it as empty and make a new one doesn't help, and I can't just get rid of them all, let it make its own, and resize them, because resizing an NTFS partition using all one methods I know (sfdisk) kills the filesystem. So how do I do this? |

If managing code space is a problem, it might work better to not use IPS, but rather a custom-designed patch program. It could find free space for the code segments and update the pointers as needed. |

Well if I could get into QTPartEd, sure... Don't you need to be in an actual desktop environment for that? I'm just running stuff off the livecd command line. |
XP does have its own partition manager but it isn't recognizing the drive's proper size or any of the partitions, so that's no good... |
