| It is useful. This other site I was looking at seemed pretty inaccurate. (Mainly, I'm assuming, because of Windows problems. I can't type 'wi' or 'we'. ) Anyway, which one is best depends what you're gonna use it for.  |

Works for me. Click-and-drag beats 'click the East button, wait 10 minutes, and see an image scrolled way too far east' by a ridiculous amount. |
That white house thing is interesting though. It's not even blurred, just big chunks of the image are missing. I can see it at maximum zoom, though. Fire!

It'd be pretty difficult; I can't think of any similarities between the two, and AFAIK SNES is considerably more powerful in the graphics and sound department. (Not that I know a lot about Genesis though. |

I've seen some computers at school with ~200 different spyware programs on them. Remove them and within a week they were all back. Not to mention these were supposed to have a security system that prevents anything from being installed - didn't work so well apparently. |
 And then there was a video of some guy getting busted cheating in some gaming place or something, they just tossed the entire computer out onto the sidewalk, it smashed into several pieces. Wish I knew where that was...

The same happens to me with BitTornado and a cable modem (no routers or anything). The lower I set the bandwidth limits, the less often it disconnects, but the problem never goes away entirely unless I close BT. |
 Maybe they're just doing something it doesn't like; opening too many ports or such?

If IMs still work, then you're not completely disconnected. What browser/email clients are you using? If they're both based on the same code (IE/Outlook, Mozilla/Thunderbird, etc) they could both have the same problem. Can you ping? (Start -> run -> command -> ping www.google.ca) |

That kinda thing always ticks me off though. Programs that come on a CD and tell me I don't have a CD drive, yeah OK then...But I've seen worse. Some, er, 'unofficial patching' software comes complete with crappy music and special effects, even though you only even need to run it for 2 minutes once. (And they use .nfo files with the DOS character set. Hello? This isn't 1982! .nfo is a reserved file type and nobody uses the DOS character set; get with the times!  )

Most IMs don't actually maintain a constant connection, though. They just send eachother little packets every now and then. Though I don't know about the big ones like AIM and MSN... |

Spyware doesn't usually get in through lack of a firewall, so much as an insecure browser. Get Firefox and Thunderbird and teach them a bit about not opening every random program that gets sent to them. |

d4s, Aioria, watch the flaming. Nad, to answer your question, ASM is what the game is programmed in, so yes, everything uses it. "Using ASM" just means re-programming the game. |
