Why do you people care if it's locked or not?

Anyway that looks really cool. One suggestion: turn off auto-spacing in LM for that text box, it looks ugly with the huge spaces.

Oh, and missing a turtle doesn't kill you does it? You should line the bottom with exit blocks to take you back to the start or something like that instead.

Nice, but you should make sure to test everything in the original game after you do all this. Moving subroutines can have nasty effects.

Also, to clarify: LM supports ExLoROM. DW:TLC was ExHiROM, which LM won't do (except Fu's own debugging version ). Why he did that, I'm not sure, but the point is that whether DW:TLC works doesn't indicate whether other expanded ROMs will.

Hey, if LM can move everything to different banks like that, couldn't a similar routine be used to move everything to FastROM? It'd get rid of some of the slowdown problems.

Heh, I thought I remembered something about having to use the higher bits of the colour, but I figured that was for converting to RGB. But then I never really worked with SNES either; Gameboy Colour just also happens to use 15-bit RGB.

In all seriousness. I don't want a dog. I wouldn't want to have to get up and take the animal outside every time it had to go to the bathroom and take it for walks daily, bringing a bag along in case it has to take a dump along the way. Amen. Cats are high-friendliness, low-maintenance. You just have to feed them and change the box. Dogs need to be walked, let in and out, jump on you, bark at everything, and just take up more space in general.

A block Mario can stand on for a few seconds? Not that I know of, mainly due to timer-related difficulties. (IE resetting the timer when Mario leaves the block.)

Well, I found the game's fireball subroutine - $FEA8 (called from $D0AA when you shoot), but there's a bit of a problem. You have to JSR to it, which isn't exactly possible outside of bank 00. Anyone know how I can use it? Hopefully I can stick a small chunk of code in the bank to handle it, but maybe someone knows a better way...

Also anyone know how to move the sprite layer? I've got a level set up where Mario stays still and layer 2 moves; problem is, the sprites don't move with it because Mario's technically still in the same place.

[edit] Could you do 'JSR $1234' to jump to whatever address $1234 points to? I know some other instructions can do it... Also is it necessary to use JSL when calling code in RAM from bank 0?
