Like I said, I had to cap BT's upload at 50k/sec or else I'd get completely disconnected... I don't really download a lot, so it's not a big issue. (I often stop uploading for big downloads, too.) But come to think of it... How is this possible? The program is capped at 50k total (as in shared between all instances). Assuming I uploaded at that speed non-stop for 30 days, that's only ~50GB. So now the question is... Do I cap the upload at 4k/sec, or work on some sort of scheduling system? |

For custom quotes, put <span.[name] blockquote { I think that would do it. It's almost the same as how mine works. Kles: Looks fine, but the BG doesn't show up. Also, please use the Link feature to link to posts. |

ZSnes and I believe Snes9x both have netplay. For N64 I think there's a version of PJ64 that can do it, but you'll need damn fast computers...

He's got a point, though, but don't worry. Eventually, developers will take a closer look at the DS and realize it has these nifty buttons you can use to do stuff instead of having to use the touch screen for everything.

You gotta compare actual post dates. You can't rely on the standard "anything on page 1" rule, since threads per page is variable and some forums are much more active than others. Tip: If you just realized it was a bump and nobody's replied, delete the post, and back down it goes. |

Looks like an awesome hack. Though it might be better if the T-switches were more like coins, you just have to touch them instead of jumping on them. I can easily see someone dying a lot because they missed the switch or something along those lines.

I've considered getting a cell phone, but if I do, it's going to be a really basic one. Nothing more than simple ring tones and -maybe- SMS. I'm sick of these newfangled phones that check your email, make toast and rub your feet. If I wanted that I'd get a PDA. I wonder if it could ever be possible to use the Nintendo DS as a phone? |

We had a major snowstorm warning, but we only got a few inches. Up here you could pretty much say Winter starts November 21 and Spring starts sometime in late May.

Originally posted by Tarale Heh, I did that back when I had a 486 with an 88MB hard disk. I learned not to pretty quick though. I want one of those USB drives but they cost money. It also kinda sucks when you work with Win98 systems a lot (thankfully I don't anymore, but most of the school systems used it last year), since you have to install drivers for them. |

This happens to me every now and then, usually it's just cable problems (or uploading too fast in BitTorrent ). Disconnecting the modem's power (or if it's internal, rebooting) for a second usually fixes it. If it's out for a long time I usually call the ISP to see what's up. Also, check other things that use the same line (cable TV for cable, phones for dialup/DSL) and see if they work; if not, the line's probably down. Also make sure you try to actually access a webpage before assuming it's broken. A while ago Gmail Notifier and BitTorrent disconnected while I was playing a game; I assumed it was just a connection problem but when I tried to actually open a page I discovered the connection had actually been shut off temporarily. Many ISPs will do this (every page you request redirects you to their error page instead), and it usually causes non-browser programs to fail as if the connection was just plain dead. (This can happen for various reasons; I get it every now and then due to connection problems until I reset the modem, or as I found out yesterday, massively exceeding bandwidth limits. ) Of course the biggest question is how exactly are you connected? Heh, yeah, that game's pretty damn popular over there. Originally posted by Kitten Yiffer Don't forget "disc read error". Heck, I just wanted to learn it because I figured it could be useful later. It was either that or Spanish, but I found Japanese more interesting in general. |
