I've recently been having some odd problems with a few programs... They don't really affect anything but they're rather annoying.

Winamp 5: When I open it, it says rsp.dll wasn't found and closes, but if I open it again right after that, it works fine. One time it even opened with the error message on the screen, and ran fine for a minute or two, then came up with the generic XP error message even though it was still running fine. It's been doing this ever since I installed some plugins (64th Note and Alpha-II are all I remember), though they're the same versions that worked fine before.

Mozilla 1.6: Every now and then when I click a link (only here, actually ) it opens the page, and after it's completely finished loading, it goes back to the last page. Just as if I'd hit Back but the Forward button is still disabled. It's just started recently, I haven't changed the settings or anything. Checking the page source reveals nothing unusual and if I click the link again it works just fine.

BitTornado 0.38: When I open a torrent file to start seeding it, the majority of the time, it takes about 20 minutes to check the existing files. This happens regardless of other disk access, resource usage etc, usually when another instance of BT is running. Other times it finishes in just a few seconds. It's not the files themselves; the same ones can take anywhere from 2 seconds to 20 minutes randomly.

Not sure, it's probably some weird coding in the game.

Probably because your time zone offset is set 23 hours ahead instead of one behind.

The next step is to build a removeable tray into the case, so the computer doesn't need to be apart and on its side to use it.

Ah, yes, seeming as how those eggs just magically appear somewhere, and your poop just magically disappear somewhere... okay, everyone, do NOT make another connection in that sentence. I'm warning you!

He craps out one window and birds hang around the other. Then just splice into a water pipe and bam, completely self-sustained.

Posted on 02-20-05 07:12 AM, in Debug Codes Link
GSCentral has some various debug codes on the off chance it's actually up.

Here's all of BMF's debug codes I know for SMW, in PAR format:
00C576F0 - Powerup select (press up+select)
00950B30 - Scene select (Press Up+L+R at boss beat scene to advance to next)
00CC8500 - Free-roaming mode (Press L+A a few times to make Mario get stuck in one position, then freely moveable, also can take off from a standing start with cape)
049136F0 - Press Select at Yoshi's House (overworld) to warp to Star World
00A26800+00A27300 - Can exit any level via Start+Select and level is instantly beaten! (Hold A/B and press Select to trigger secret exit)
00A24800 - Press Y on C2 while paused to advance a frame; hold B on C2 while paused for slowmo (00A256xx modifies speed)

For Mario RPG:
7FF40400
7FF40501
Put that on and go through an exit at the top of the screen (such as into Mario's house).

A nice big one for SMAS:
GG: 176D-F2AD
PAR: 70800763
All games: Press L for a clean pause, R to advance one frame.
Super Mario Bros/Lost Levels:
X = Change into Firey Mario
A = Change to Normal Mario
Select = Explore mode. Activates Starman, freezes the clock, and you can move Mario anywhere on screen. Tap Select again to go back to normal. (Make sure you're moving when you do it or the screen won't scroll.)
B = Change into little Mario (works only in Explore mode)
Tap Right+R in Explore mode for 999 time!
Tap Left+R in Explore Mode for no time (suicide)!
Tap Up+R in Explore Mode for an extra life!

Super Mario Bros 2:
X = Gives you 4 hearts and Starman
A = Explore mode

Super Mario Brothers 3:
X = Cycle from little Mario to Firey Mario to Raccoon Mario to Tanooki Mario to Frog Mario to Hammer Mario to little Mario
Select = Activates Starman
A = Activates Explore mode (You have to do a flight jump before activating Explore mode in order to make the screen scroll upwards, or else it won't scroll and Mario will go offscreen)

Mine just came in a while ago, I didn't even really notice. It wasn't until they were almost all the way in and started pinching the inside of my cheeks that I realized "hey, there's a new tooth there ". That only lasted a few days, and there hasn't been any problems with them since. Now my front teeth on the other hand...

What I've been using is just MinGW and Textpad. Open up a DOS window to wherever you keep the source codes, and compile and run with a generic makefile; I use this as a base (only works on XP):
@echo off
pushd "D:\Program Files\MinGW\bin"

del [------PUT EXE NAME HERE------].exe
echo Compiling...

gcc -o [------PUT EXE NAME HERE------] "D:\Files\Programs\Source Codes\C\[------PUT FOLDER NAME HERE------]\[------PUT SOURCE NAME HERE------].c" -mwindows -mconsole

IF EXIST [------PUT EXE NAME HERE------].exe goto run
goto done

:run
echo Running...
echo

Say, how can I make stuff in <code> tags scroll? I've got this so far:

.hh_post code, pre {
display: block;
border: 1px dashed #FFFFD0;
background-color: #015F8D;
width: 90%;
margin: 0 auto;
white-space: pre;
}

.hh_post code br, pre br {
display: none;
}

As you can see it works, but if I post something really long in a code tag it stretches the page (even with spaces). How can I get it to use a scrollbar instead?
